The Pack kid went to a local high school about 20 miles from my place. ( live in South Jersey) Andy still has his connections with the region. Eagles missed getting that one.
I’m a Mahommes fan but I agree
I don’t like all the new penalties past 20years anyhow
But it was a questionable call and a thin win
Yes locals around here follow careers,I kind of go this way myself!
He seems to be a good guy!
Hope he stays that way!
Coin toss! Excellent 2nd half. Thank you. What a game!
Chiefs left the Eagles 8 seconds for the kickoff.
The runback on the squib kick ended when the receiver slid down, and was touched. Had they left him lying there untouched, but sorrounding him, they could’ve run the clock all the way down to zero, and no Eagles Hail Mary attempt.
Put me in coach!
Yes. Probably.
But Philly would have had the ball with 1:40 left, only needing a FG to tie. That’s not all that hard to do. Then, they teams would have decided the winner, not the refs
It was a total bs call. Far worse than that happened on practically every play and was not called.
I had no money wagered on the winner of this game. Only prop bets. But there is NO WAY that call should have been made. They ruined one of the best SB games I’ve ever seen. It would have been an exciting finish.
Actually, the call WON a big bet for me; “Lead change in the last minute of the game + 700”. So, from that standpoint, I loved it. But, it ruined the game and makes the entire sport looked rigged.
Terry Bradshaw is very odd.
In that particular case the hold arguably stopped a touchdown pass, even if it wasn't that flagrant. It was a timing pattern where the receiver runs under it. The receiver was unable to get there because of it. If the hold had been somewhere that Mahomes wasn't looking the call would have been a bit of a travesty. But JuJu Smith-Schuster appears to have been the primary receiver.
Happy Ending!
Chiefs Won! :) Good Night All!
The defender admitted after the game that he was holding the jersey and hoped it wouldn’t get called. Bad luck that the WR he defended happened to be the primary target, so all eyes were on him.
Plus, most of the other ticky-tacky calls (Chiefs getting a fumble return for a TD after knocking it out of the receiver’s hands; that got overturned into an incomplete pass. Eagles’ WR getting a 3rd down catch that was bobbled right as he went out of bounds; after review, it was upheld instead of being overruled as an incomplete pass) that night went the Eagles’ way, so blaming this outcome entirely on the referees is — for once — uncalled for. Blame the Eagles’ pass rush for not sacking Mahomes once, or their defense for not showing up in the 2nd half when the Chiefs went on a tear.
I imagine that if the Chiefs had gone for a go-ahead touchdown, leaving 1:30+ on the clock for the Eagles to have some decent chance of coming back, it probably wouldn’t feel the same. But no: Andy Reid played mercilessly with the clock, as their WR intentionally slid down instead of going for the touchdown. It was definitely a very low-energy way (and some might say unsatisfying) to end it...but if you’ve got an accurate kicker, it was absolutely the smart way to end it so your opponent’s high-powered offense has as little time as possible to respond.
It was nice of Fox to tell us half time was going to be 29 minutes so I could set my watch and skip the whole thing.
Her publicist confirmed AFTER her performance that she's pregnant with her second child. You'd think they'd have done this BEFORE she went on stage in front of millions of viewers.
My wife and I were having the same discussion. I said she looked pregnant while my wife said she just had a baby and was still heavy.
