HELP!!! Kidney Stone. How do I lessen the pain and pass quickly?
01/15/23 | Dmztahoe

Experienced a kidney stone 25 years ago. Doctor at that time went in invasively to get it and remove

Three nights ago, I was struck with another kidney stone attack. Lasted about 2 hours in the middle of the night.

24 hours later. Another one. Could feel the pain and the stone moving farther south.

Another one early this morning, still painful but I believe stone is making progress.

Refuse to go to any clinic or hospital, what do my wise freeper friends suggest to speed up the process and alleviate the pain.

Different stones are caused by different things and that can determine the best course of action to get rid of them. Hubby has had them for years. His urologist suggested he take 1 Tbs of baking soda dissolved in water several times a day as soon as he feels the first twinge. It works for Hubby as he usually passes them within a day or so, BUT he does not have high blood pressure.
We don’t know your medical history or your current health, and I get that people hate spending money they don’t have, added to the fact that many people no longer trust the medical establishment; but don’t play Russian roulette with your health, get this checked out before you lose kidney function.

Unfortunately make a regular appt to get a CT ordered and you are likely to be sent to the ER anyway unless you have a great PCP who is able to work you in in a day or two then get a STAT radiology study. Those that have that kind of access are lucky

Stone Breaker Chanca Piedra
____________________________________

Can confirm this works. It softens the stone and can even dissolve smaller ones. Friend w/chronic kidney stones has had great success with it. I use it for gallbladder *sludge* and my husband has had some relief from gout uric acid crystals with it.

I keep it on hand. Severe cases can take 2-3 tablets 1 every 4 hours, but for my gall sludge, I have had relief within an hour or so with just one.

They are huge (we all use 800 mg per pill) and need to be taken with at least 8oz of water. I keep them on hand. We use pure Chanca Piedra from NaturalisimoLife.

Sympathies to all sufferers. I have had pain that dropped me to my knees from gallbladder sludge and my husband did have a kidney stone once & was in agony. Doc gave him a filter to pee in and told him to drink lots of water. (This was over 30 years ago...all other anecdotes in this post are current)

All the best. Seriously.

But do read the link. It appears that drinking lemonade is preventative for stones. I didn’t know that.

As someone who has had three, go to the emergency room. You don’t want a blockage that could end up in losing kidney function. Don’t rely on home remedies or Freeper DIY medical advice.

hmm, that’s weird- i drink loads of soda too, Dr Thunder- and haven’t had any stones since i quit salt and started taking allopurinol (Which someone told me could cause eye problems later- yay me!)

Yeah, i have some more lodged in my kidneys- every now and again I’ll get the dreaded back pain for several hours to a day or so- but nothing every passes down through- The stones are probably sloshing aroudn in the kidneys doing damage=- My Urologist didn’t say anything about doing anything about them- Guess he figured they woudl just pass on their own- they seem to have not done so thou8gh- I didnt really care for that urologist- so might get another opinion-

[[Pacing the floor was all I could do. There was no way I could sit still. We had a loop from dining room, entry hall, living room then kitchen. No telling how many laps I made.]]

Yep that is certainly my experience too- I used to think i had a pretty high tolerance for pain, but kidney stones let me know that i was nothing but a blubbering turrettes prone (not really, but i do break down and swear at the worst of the pain) fool when it comes ot real pain-

[[The downside to that is that it feels like your pissing glass for several days]]

When they put a catheter in me, it built up stone material on the outside of the tube too, and when they yanked it out, it felt like they were yanking a piece of barbed wire out- the doc said “Relax” - I bit my tongue to kept from telling him a thing or two- it was brutal-
