In 2021, only 486 people died using California's assisted suicide program, but that same year in Canada, 10,064 died used MAID to die that year. MAID has now grown so popular that Canada has both anti-suicide hotlines to try and stop people killing themselves, as well as pro-suicide hotlines for people wanting to end their lives.
MAID has fallen into further scrutiny over claims that people are now seeking assisted suicide due to poverty and homelessness or mental anguish, as opposed to the traditional method of the terminally-ill seeking a painless death.

A Canadian doctor who's personally euthanized more than 400 people said she helped kill a man who was previously deemed unsuitable for assisted suicide.
Ellen Wiebe, a doctor who works with Dying With Dignity Canada, boasted in a seminar for physicians working in assisted suicide about the time she treated a patient who did not qualify for the end of life service.

A WEF approved program, I am sure. Canada is a wealthy, wacky First World nation. So how many people commit suicide in impoverished African nations? Or in Honduras? I am sure the numbers are very low. But in Canada they love this stuff.
Legalized murder...just like abortion. Doctors have given up on rule #1 which is “First, do no harm.”
But, in their minds, this is good for the climate and for the planet/world/Earth.
I heard a minister on American Family Radio the other day say that some Woke ministers are now reinterpreting John 3:16 from "God so loved the world..." to "God so loved the Earth..." (i.e., God is a "Greenie").

The only difference between the Holocaust and MAID is that Canada has convinced people to volunteer to be euthanized.
There was a female vet in Canada that testified in some government thing. She is disabled but competes in various wheelchair sports.
She had contacted their VA for a new wheelchair but they couldn’t supply one. She went to other places for assistance in purchasing a wheelchair too iirc.
At some point, some government person told her that while they weren’t able to help with a wheelchair, they could provide her with assisted suicide if that would be a better option for her!
Down deep these doctors think, “who needs these worthless eaters, anyway”.....
Whatever the numbers are this year for assisted suicide, in 5-10 years the numbers will be in the 10s of thousands if not much more.
I’m all for it if used solely on many politicians in good health.
She was on Tucker last week. She has been waiting over five years for a wheelchair lift for her home. When she made the last inquiry to the Canadian VA was when they suggested assisted suicide as an option.
Here come the mobile MAID teams going door to door to “hand out pamphlets” and will no doubt use Orwellian doublespeak.
As of March 17, 2021, persons who wish to receive MAID must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
-be 18 years of age or older and have decision-making capacity
-be eligible for publicly funded health care services
-make a voluntary request that is not the result of external pressure
-give informed consent to receive MAID, meaning that the person has consented to receiving MAID after they have received all information needed to make this decision
have a serious and incurable illness, disease or disability (excluding a mental illness until March 17, 2023)
-be in an advanced state of irreversible decline in capability
-have enduring and intolerable physical or psychological suffering that cannot be alleviated under conditions the person considers acceptable
How many people were “encouraged” to go the suicide route?

I’ve long been opposed to euthanasia. I think our young people should stay home.
I wonder how they’d react if these doctors started having terrible things happened to them.
The lefties love this stuff because they can kill off those who would otherwise be draining other gov services.
Then they have more money left over for themselves.
I say it would be even cheaper by an order of magnitue to let charity deal with the despair cases and kill off the lefties instead.
