The family for Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin said during an interview Tuesday night that the 24-year-old athlete had to be resuscitated multiple times after going into cardiac arrest during Monday night’s football game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Dorrian Glenn, Hamlin’s uncle, told CNN that doctors had his nephew “flipped over on his stomach” to help with the blood on his lungs because he sustained “some damage to his lungs,” the report said.
Hamlin is still sedated and on a ventilator, Glenn added.
“His heart had went out so they had to resuscitate him twice,” Glenn said. “They resuscitated him on the field before they brought him to the hospital and then they resuscitated him a second time when they got him to the hospital.”
Glenn said that it seems like Hamlin is “trending upwards in a positive way.”
Local sports reporter Josh Reed added that Glenn gave him a little more information on Hamlin’s health.
“Just spoke with Damar Hamlin’s uncle. Damar was originally on 100% oxygen and is now down to 50%,” Reed said. “Says the family is hanging in there. He thanked Bills fans, and Bengals fans and asked for continued prayers.”
Prayers for his full recovery, and for little to no permanent brain damage due to the lack of oxygen during his two cardiac episodes.
It is a good thing that he was vaccinated or the heart attack could have been worse!
He mentioned that the lungs were damaged...
That happens with CPR (especially with 9 minutes of it), so they can’t necessarily blame the hit.
I read this morning that Federal agents were now involved. I have no independent confirmation of this and my source was Twitter. Take it for what that’s worth.
I heard that yesterday as well. Rumors are just that until proven one way or another...............
If you get hit the right way, it’s pretty traumatic. We lost a local high school football player a few years back from the same thing. Also one in my hometown.
“originally on 100% oxygen and is now down to 50%”
For now I’ll take that as an improvement no matter how small.......and continue to pray.
Don’t think Hamlin’s uncle is a medical authority. No disrespect to the man but it’s hard to make much out of what he said that we didn’t already know.
Why on earth would federal agents be involved?
It’s terrible that this guy had the episode. He was very fortunate that such medical expertise was available to save him. Unfortunately, the other workaday people who are having this vaxx induced reaction are dying everyday. Now that I’ve shown proper respect for a guy who had medical emergency, how the hell do the Bengals get a chance to get the number one seed? Some team is going to get screwed due to this CF. I remember in the strike shortened season in ‘81, I think, the Reds ended up with the best record in baseball and got shut out of the playoffs.
Wonder if it has to do with the aftermath..and the way NFL handled it
Constant prayers being said, for this young man.
He’s fighting hard, and, folks are praying, hard, for his recovery.
They are saying done as a routine matter due to crowds etc at hospital
hes probably catching hell because everybody else has been so quiet about his condition...im getting a bad vibe from this silence. Get a sense that this is a “do we pull the plug” situation....just awful..he seemed like a good dude....i dunno, ya never know.....
This wasn’t the “hit”. Don’t be taken in by such an obvious lie.
Last CPR class I took the instructor was active Fire Rescue personnel.
He stated that if your not cracking chest bones your not pumping hard enough to move blood to the brain.....lung damage is not surprising.
An accurate and clarifying point.
It’s going to be a long, slow road to recovery for Damar. Praying for more positive news.
Because they see an opportunity to promote the Deep State agenda here?
