He mentioned that the lungs were damaged...
That happens with CPR (especially with 9 minutes of it), so they can’t necessarily blame the hit.
If you get hit the right way, it’s pretty traumatic. We lost a local high school football player a few years back from the same thing. Also one in my hometown.
Last CPR class I took the instructor was active Fire Rescue personnel.
He stated that if your not cracking chest bones your not pumping hard enough to move blood to the brain.....lung damage is not surprising.
An accurate and clarifying point.
The Freepers that backed the clot shot will grab at any straw to defend Big Pharma.
How the NFL doesn’t have AEDs in its stadiums - let alone near the field - after all these years is a bit of a mystery...perhaps a liability.
Poyzeen poke or not, I think the shrinking shoulder pads idea is not a good one. Yeah, the big pads take away some agility and speed, but they not only helped protect the wearer, the broader surfaces and multi-layers reduced the impact some on the guy getting hit.
Extreme example: Take a single edge axe, which end of the head penetrates better, the cutting edge or the broad (hammer) edge?
Obvious, right?
For another example, which hurts less on the face, a fist with just a leather glove, or a fist inside a boxing glove?
I say the boxing glove, cuz as a young guy I found out ‘fist hand’ ;)
