Hamlin tackled Bengals receiver Tee Higgins in the first quarter and got up briefly before falling backwards to the ground.
An ambulance raced on the field to treat the safety, who was taken away in the vehicle and immobilized.

Agree
Vaccident or Aortic rupture?
This one is going to be hard to determine the cause. The tackle itself didn’t appear to be related to anything that would cause a need for CPR. There was initial contact with Hamlin wrapping up the ball carrier and continued to rotate in a counter clockwise direction ball carrier in in a hug. There didn’t appear to be helmet contact and he landed with his head off the ground. Thoughts could lead to the possibility of a pregame injury.
A source tells FOX19 the Bills player, 24-year-old Damar Hamlin, has been intubated and is listed in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Hamlin was given oxygen, placed on a stretcher, hooked up to an IV and eventually carried into an ambulance at the field. He required an automated external defibrillator on the field.

“Vax” Attack - I’m sure if he didn’t have all the boosters it could have been much worse.
a heart specialist just said if the hit occurs in the hearts “cycle”, it can be devastating...i would guess that meant mid-beat...
This is theoretically true. However, it is very unlikely wearing football pads because much like a bullet proof vest the design spreads the energy from the hit to a larger area. If this were not true we would frequently see players leave the game with severe bruising to the chest.
Nope. CPR and defibrillator is not a concussion. Reported his heart stopped.
I, too, was thinking that this hit didn’t look extraordinary...as you say...didn’t send this poor young man reeling.
And, as another poster mentioned....their equipped with protective gear specifically designed for these kinds of hits/blows.
Just awful.
Prayers.
I didn’t see the tackle was that bad. He got up and then collapsed. Heart arrest or aneurysm?
BUT I NOTICED IT DIDN’T STOP DISNEY/ESPN FROM BROADCASTING COMMERCIALS!
Greedy evil bastards.
Every CEO of those companies should be calling to have their ads pulled.
Game postponed.
Just another of many fake tough guys online who usually are the first to shake in their boots at trouble.
Ignore it.
The game needed to stop.
To be fair, those 10,000 sudden deaths per day aren’t healthy, physically fit athletes. Some possibly but the seeming uptick in the past year is duly noticed.
“NFL Thug yesterday did Snow Angels next to player just injured. Then he celebrated and cut up on the sidelines making the (put to) Sleep gesture.
None of these announcers/ coaches / players / networks criticized the thug.
Now, we’re told they’re all brothers?
You’re being told Lies.”
I know, look at all the little hypocrits taking a knee to pray. I thought the NFL pigs didn’t believe in God. I guess the old saying “ther are no atheists in fox holes” is true.
What amazes me is the number of Freepers who won’t consider that the VAX played a part in this. The government suppressed all Covid information on all social media platforms (communist style) and the media played along.
The truth is, we don’t know either way because we don’t know the facts. We do know the Vax hurts the hearts of the young, wasn’t fully tested, and side causes and effects were suppressed. But we can’t jump to any conclusions right away.
As far as the hit goes, they have chest protectors and this type of hit happens thousands of times a week. But for all we know he could have had an underlying condition outside of the Vax that wasn’t detected in any of his physicals.
He may have suffered a coincidence.
The players know. They cannot make that decision on the field. The hospital will.
Did nobody you know say no, hell no, to the MRNA gene therapy shots? Did you allow this experiment on yourself and your family? is that why you feel compelled to lash out?
such a stupid post im not gonna even responde...
With Chuck Hughes, the autopsy revealed he had the heart of an 80-year old man.
Now I would hope these days, they do a much better job of screening players with potential heart conditions.
.
Other than his own team, I watched the game highlights, they cut it - none of their sanctimonious sermons.
No Virtue signaling.
They even made fun of Foles throwing a Touchdown— to the other team.
.
I’m sure Thibodeaux is going to get a ‘warm Philadelphia welcome’.
.
Good
We’re talking yesterday!
