Covid shot required to get hired?
1-1-2023 | Vanity

Gotta get a new job, and I wondered if they would want me to be up-to-date on the covid shots?

Any hints on staying positive would be much appreciated too! I'd prefer an office job, but 4 years ago noticed they did not seem to like hiring people in their late 50s. And I hear so many contradictory things that I feel confused (and more negative!).

Thanks so much!

This is good advice. Since everything is now online, I had forgotten about just going to places!

If an employer requires the jabs for all employees - then don't work there.

The death rate for "died suddenly" after the mRNA treatment appears to be 0.2% of all patients. That is within 30 days of the most recent injection. Younger patients (16-49) seem to be more seriously affected while older patients (65+) seem to be less affected.

Adverse reactions leading to excess mortality appear to have afflicted 4 to 5 percent of patients who have more than two treatments. Death or disability comes from myocarditis (heart inflammation), heart attacks, strokes, embolism, and reoccurrence of very aggressive cancers. A less common effect is seizures.

Insurance companies have data from their proprietary studies over the last 18 months. They could tell the real rates to 4 decimal places by now. But they won't. It is too toxic. Instead, they are making deals with their respective national governments.

I am working for clients who cannot keep or even find younger workers. Basically, they aren't paying enough for skilled workers for the workers to make a living. Too many businesses are dependent on this sort of cost model for their operation and are having trouble making the transition to new circumstances. Then they get jammed up and must pay premiums to people such as me.

Larger companies can ride a liquidation economy all the way down to the bottom. We haven't reached that yet. Medium-sized and small companies cannot hold out that long. They will have positions they must fill, or they will die. Those are the companies that will hire you. And they will pay a premium to do that. You might as well start with highball salary requirement and work down from there.

And consider that at least 50% of advertised positions are never filled by anybody. They aren't for real jobs; other agendas are in play. I saw this first-hand when I worked (a long time ago) for "Big Time Mega Corporation".

It is a lottery, with somewhat better odds. Apply for any job that looks attractive to you, regardless of stated job title or requirements. The worst that can happen is they will ignore you. Don't wait for any responses. Move on.

You posted my dream job.
If I didn’t have commitments close to home, I would apply, too.
Good to hear some employers are open to hiring mature workers.
