McDonald's has opened up a fully-automated restaurant in Texas, which is completely run by machines so you don't have to speak to anyone, and it has left people on the internet divided.
The brand-new eatery, located just outside Fort Worth, uses advanced technology so that customers can order their food and receive their meal without having to interact with any humans, and while some people are excited about the idea, others find it a little creepy.
A TikToker who goes by the username @foodiemunster online recently visited the restaurant and documented the entire thing on the video-sharing app, and it launched a major debate among viewers.
The video featured a McDonald's with no employees behind the counter. Near the entrance, stood large touch screens for people to place their orders on.
'If you go inside, you’ll see that it’s like no other McDonald’s you’ve been to before. There’s one kiosk to order your food,' the TikToker explained.

Punk ass kids expecting 20.00/hour or more for their first job and ghetto customers fighting and tearing up the place necessitates the machines. I don’t blame any company for doing this.
“fully-automated restaurant in Texas, which is completely run by machines”
Who is keeping the ingredient tanks topped off? Who is doing maintenance? Who is keeping the place sanitized?
Automated? Completely run by machines? I don’t think so...
Give it time; someone will surely shoot one of them.
So it’s basically a giant vending machine?
The San Francisco wanted its robots, but the plan was cancelled, probably because they were programmed to shoot only whites.
Actually the 99 cents was a big sales pitch in the late 60s. It was a commercial campaign showing a little boy (much like me) going in and getting the burger fries and shake and handing over a buck and getting the penny back. That sales campaign ran for quite awhile. I never remember it being ‘70 cents,’but I also don’t remember using McD’s much in the early 70s.
I was a big fan of Horn & Hardart Automat back in the day
Lol. Now that’s funny. You’ll see McDonald’s CEO go from 25 million a year to 30 million a year.
It actually reminds me of this X-Files episode in season 11.

It looks like the machines are taking the place of order takers... This would be better if the cooks were replaced.
Un, make tacos.
Like Elvis shot that TV.
“Per the article real people still prepare the food.”
well, that solves the spitting issue ...
No humans behind the counter doesn’t mean no humans in the kitchen.
Better to ask: does it have a security robot to stop homeless people from moving into the restroom?
Lots of opportunities for skilled maintenance technicians.
Just look up “Mcdonalds” and “Brawl” and it is a wonder there are any fast food restaurants without bullet proof glass completely run by terminator robots.
Seems like an odd promo that would charge prices considerably higher than normal. Oh well, it’s not important.
You know I was being facetious...☺
Once they get rid of all their human labor costs, a Big Mac will be $18.95
machines dont pay into social security,i refuse to use self check out, kiosks or automation for that reason
