McDonald's has opened up a fully-automated restaurant in Texas, which is completely run by machines so you don't have to speak to anyone, and it has left people on the internet divided.
The brand-new eatery, located just outside Fort Worth, uses advanced technology so that customers can order their food and receive their meal without having to interact with any humans, and while some people are excited about the idea, others find it a little creepy.
A TikToker who goes by the username @foodiemunster online recently visited the restaurant and documented the entire thing on the video-sharing app, and it launched a major debate among viewers.
The video featured a McDonald's with no employees behind the counter. Near the entrance, stood large touch screens for people to place their orders on.
'If you go inside, you’ll see that it’s like no other McDonald’s you’ve been to before. There’s one kiosk to order your food,' the TikToker explained.

My opinion is irrelevant. It is the coming way of fast food, period. The higher the minimum wage the faster it will happen.
Next up, Carl’s Jr Big Ass Fries.
Such as?
Not to mention electric cars.
What moon?
Like watching tictoc videos.
McD’s can do what it wants. This family and household has STOPPED going to McD. We pay cash at counter AND WE WON’T PAY 20% MORE THAN customers using their app.
Bye Bye
“Now with more....*Molecules*!”
So, the first McD’s that fulfills an order accurately and with the correct accoutrements and even with more than 1 napkin?
>>“Now with more....*Molecules*!”<<
It’s got electrolytes!
I have not been in one of those places in years now.
If I wanna eat slop, I will go to a pig farm.
Lots of good small family run places to go to...at least around here.
Got a Carls Jr around there?
Way better and they actually use beef and not half soy meal in the meat.
Nope.
We had a Hardee’s but it closed at the start of the pandemic and never reopened.

If it can be programmed to leave you standing at the counter for 10 minutes with its back turned, nobody will notice the difference
Like yourself..I suspect, I avoid those places as much as possible.
In this small community, there is a couple nice little local run places. I got their numbers and If in a hurry, I call in my order for pick up.
Does not mean that is what you should do, but just an idea.
I feel that I sooner like to see my money go to a local and the local workers at those places instead of some GD corporation that gives a rats ass about a person.
Big macs were/are always a ripoff.
They are just 2 regular hamburger patties with 3 bread slices. The bread fills you up.
A quarter pounder has more meat in it than the big mac.
That will eliminate the problem of not being able to understand the one who takes your order.
Also, it will put off some old folks, and they will go somewhere else.
There aren’t many Mom & Pop burger joints around here, just one that I know of:

We eat there usually, but they close at 7pm.............
I think it’s great.
I’ve long said we should be funding the advancement of robotics in the US. We should raise import tariffs to both protect US industries that haven’t offshored, but to bring production back.
And we should automate as much as possible. That way we not only own the production, but the automation as well.
If we don’t China will own both the production and automation and then we are screwed.
You were getting ripped off. When I worked at McDonald's in the early 70s, a hamburger, regular fries, and shake were 70 cents total. That was in Oregon, so no sales tax either.
