I disagree, I think Trump has actually kept all those voters you mentioned but has lost the RINO types which used to run the GOP, and in some ways still do. (think Cheney)

The irony is, they gained power by depending on conservatives to vote for them, but wont return the favor.

I grew up in New York and was bred to be part of their class. So, I know them, better than a lot of good, honest, decent Americans do.

It was always absurd to think that they would "return the favor". Most establishment Republicans (I don't use "RINO" because the establishment ARE the real Republicans)- most establishment Republicans are in politics to suppress what the people we call "conservatives", to prevent them from gaining or exercising power, and every time one of ours loses an election, they smile and nod knowingly to each other.

A lot of ranting here and some of it is justified. But the real issue is mail-in voting. The D machine has almost perfected it with mass mailings to non-existent voters and the dead, ballot harvesting, etc. Their system is nearly fool-proof. The only way to challenge mail-in ballots is to take each and every ballot to the person who supposedly mailed it and ask them if they did in fact fill out this ballot. This is of course a nearly impossible task. That is as intended of course.

Mail-in balloting will kill the concept of fair elections. Seeing that their vote will be cancelled by a fake ballot, Rs will soon cease to vote. Ds may or may not show up to vote but it won’t matter because a vote will be registered in their name. If they show up in person, they get a vote. If a D doesn’t show up in person, a ballot with their name on it will eventually show up in the final tally.

At this point I expect to live to see Chi-Com vote tallies (almost 100% for fearless leader) for Ds here in the USA.

Do you think Ron DeSantis or Glenn Youngkin chased liberal votes?

Both are products of $billionaire donors, so they will act accordingly.

You know how American politics work, right?

Precisely. How is what Trump did radical? He did what a president should do! I don’t hear a peep from the likes of Cheney about the disaster they replaced Trump with. Very sad!

You don’t seem very bright or you think Freepers are stupid. What “independent” candidate in the past dozen years or so was anything other than a dimocRAT without any label? So, why not just give up the lie you try to make us believe and just go ahead and declare your allegiance to the Rat Party?

It’s time to do away with the Republican party, after all they’re just Democrat lite.

The GOP is in the middle of a civil war between RINO and MAGA.

RINOs were primaried by MAGA in the summer, and the RINO-controlled state legislatures got their revenge by repeating 2020 in that they did absolutely nothing about enforcing voter ID or getting rid of cheat-by-mail-in ballots and dropboxes.

What happened in AZ on Election Day was nothing short of grand larceny in slow motion right in our faces. How sickening was it to watch Ducey congratulating Hobbs and Brnovich writing a not-so-sternly written "please explain" letter to Mariacopa County officials and then appearing on tv to certify the results.

RINOs are perfectly happy to let Democrats cheat and win against MAGA. They are perfectly happy to keep their cushy jobs in opposition while the country is destroyed.

Starting a new party is not the answer. RINOs must be utterly wiped out. The Turtle and his minions want us to believe that MAGA candidates lost in the MidTerms because they were bad candidates to begin with. The reality is that The Turtle pulled RNC money out of MAGA campaigns so he could prop up that Murky hag in Alaska, and RINO-controlled legislatures once again allowed Democrats to steal elections.

Ousting RINOs in the primaries is the only weapon we have. We must reshape the state legislatures. The Constitution specifically says election law is to be made and enforced by the legislatures. Many RINOs were ousted in that body in the primaries over the summer -- the notorious Rusty Bowers of AZ, for one.

It will be interesting to see how these new legislatures will take on voter fraud in 2023, and if the number of new MAGA members will be enough to get real change accomplished.

Did we think that the Swamp would just give up without a fight? Did we think that the Swamp would put the needs of the country above party? RINOs are out to destroy MAGA, and the only way to beat MAGA is to allow Democrats to win by cheating, and if the country is destroyed, then they're fine with it.

You think Hillary has no agenda of her own? I think she’s been a carpet munching marxist since she went to Wellesley.

republicans only win because they are actually motivated to vote

Not with this leadership and lack of accomplishments I'm not.

Mark has it right. The Republicans are no longer conservative and they are not going to fix anything. It doesn’t matter if they have a majority anymore.

When Trump took office the senate and house were controlled by Republicans. It did not stop the democrats from starting investigations against Trump etc. Every day it was something.

Yet, the Republicans do nothing.... majority or minority.

Tyranny has taken a hold of America.

The founders gave us a gem of a “republic” but we’ve become flaccid and disinterested. I don’t, entirely, understand the progress of the destruction (beyond its evil genesis) but many of our compatriots are, indeed, stupid! I mean, how does one “intellectualize” the taking of one’s freedom and not bat an eyelash? I reckon you don’t miss your water ‘til it’s gone!

Your point is one that I have thought for years. We (R) have only won in the past because the democrat voters were lazy and apathetic. But, unfortunately, there have been more of them for years. Now someone can basically vote for them.

We have to change more minds. I am not optimistic this will happen.

You can’t change minds, because 40% of the nation isn’t in your circumstance. Work Force participation tells the story, 60% of people 18-65 are working, and many of those don’t pay taxes. They want from the people who have worked hard, built and created, because they can vote themselves more money from the treasury.

THE ONLY WAY TO FIX IT IS TO LIMIT THE BUDGET. Balanced budget amendment would immediately force the Federal Government to redo Welfare benefits. That would force the immediate enforcement of the border, because Americans would demand jobs so they could eat.

The good news is that what is happening is unsustainable, which means probably very soon it will all fail. We need to be ready to take advantage of the crisis that Democrats are creating. Convention of the States, New Amendments on Balanced Budget. Is delaying the inevitable is only prolonged the pain? Should we let them burn it down now?

I’m thinking about changing my political preference back to (I) until the Republicans can talk the language of the US Constitution. All these ‘lawsuits’ ignore the plenary powers of elections, for example.

It’s not about the party of any candidate. Independents can vote or not vote however they please. The only plus is being free of any party affiliation. I cant in good conscience call myself a Republican any longer. My new official status in my state is “Unaffiliated”.

I don’t think it’s possible to convince people to vote Republican when they are getting free stuff from the government. The only way is to some how stop “covid” voting , which is probably not possible.
