The ignorance of this Ivy League guy bothers me.
But it’s also the insincerity that gets me.
He’s marking a day which he (apparently) knows nothing about. How many casualties? Over 3000? Over 10,000? Any clue? Any family involvement? Did this tragic event lead to the liberation of the Nazi death camps? Or did this tragic event lead ultimately to Hiroshima and Nagasaki? And was that justified?
Does this guy have any legitimate emotional or intellectual position on 12/7? Or any other day?
Or is he simply a political operative throwing some bones to the stupid peasants who should eagerly eat up his political wisdom?
