…. According to a BBC analysis of 10 years of data from the Gallup World Poll, women are getting angrier.
Every year the poll surveys more than 120,000 people in more than 150 countries asking, among other things, what emotions they felt for a lot of the previous day.
When it comes to negative feelings in particular - anger, sadness, stress and worry - women consistently report feeling these more frequently than men.
The BBC's analysis has found that since 2012 more women than men report feeling sadness and worry, though both genders have been steadily trending upwards.
When it comes to anger and stress however, the gap with men is widening. In 2012 both genders reported anger and stress at similar levels. Nine years later women are angrier - by a margin of six percentage points - and more stressed too. And there was a particular divergence around the time of the pandemic.
A 2020 survey of almost 5,000 parents in heterosexual relationships in England, by the Institute for Fiscal Studies, found that mothers took on more of the domestic responsibilities during lockdown than fathers. As a result, they reduced their working hours. This was the case even when they were the higher earner in the family.

It is more likely that women only appear to be getting angrier in contrast with American “men”, a large number of which, even nearly three years later, remain the abject cowards they revealed themselves to be as a result their irrational fear of the Fauci Flu and their willing subservience to every politician, every unelected bureaucrat and every self-promoted “medical expert” who they gratefully allowed to control their lives, the lives of their spouses and the lives of their children.
Yup. My ex was a happy-go-lucky character for all our dating and as a newlywed. Over the years she became more and more shrill and angry, especially after having our kids.
Eventually we all tried our different ways to avoid her—me in my work, took additional jobs, etc., and my kids in immersing themselves in activities.
She started having road rage incidents and got in several accidents and even fisticuffs with other drivers! She became Karen from Hell with anyone in retail who defied her.
She finally demanded a divorce (and the kids).
Both kids are now adults and in therapy for their years of abuse. I should have been more forceful in telling her to cut the crap. She wouldn’t listen anyways.

Yep. I would only offer that ‘....turning to crap...’ might be better expressed in the past tense.
When encountering an angry woman, Just say, “now calm down honey.”
Women love that.
Also, “hey, less bitchin’ more kitchen!” Seems to relax them.

I’d say yeah. Living in bizarro world will eventually do that. Yesterday Mrs Tal went to the dermatologist and at some point asked “ what is this” pointing to a mark on her cheek. The doctor then, somehow, went into a FReeper style rant that covered everything in history between Slick and his leech wife and Brandonland. She said it was like listening to a greatest hits rant from me over the past 10 years. For a professional Jewish guy to lose it like that in front of a patient suggests to me that living in bizarro world is having an effect. It was a 10 minute rant.
Hopefully this is at least somewhat germane to the discussion, but when I go scanning through the local online dating profiles of women my age, I sometimes see women I knew in high school and even in university. And they will mention in their profile about being separated/divorced with one or a couple of kids and it makes my privately wonder about what happened in their marriages and what led to the marriages failing.
No man wants to marry a garden tool ...
