Actress Kirstie Alley has died at the age of 71, according to a statement from her family.
“We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered,” according to the statement published to her official social media channels Monday evening.
May she Rest In Peace. God Bless.

I was always hoping she would run for congress and as a Republican.

This makes me so SAD! I loved her on ‘Cheers’ and if I catch a re-run on Free Government TV, I always watch any episodes with her in them. (I hated the Diane character. Ugh!)
Man, she was funny! Not exactly ‘Lucy Funny’ but good, old-fashioned slapstick funny; that combination of being pretty and funny is always a winner.

The first time I remember seeing her was in “North and South” in which she played an abolitionist. She had a good role more recently in “The Middle.”. She was always interesting.
