If you already saw the post, forgive me for pinging you.
I wrote a book, and wanted to thank all my FReeper friends through the years for taking a part in this, because of your help, or even because of your criticism that helped make me a better writer.
If you asked prior for me to remove you from my seldom used jingliest, I apologize. I used a list I found after I loaded things onto a new computer. As usual things get crossed up and lost or found after some years.
I saw your post. I will check it out. :^)

Congrats. I’ll check it out.
It’s a major accomplishment many desire, yet seldom do.
Congrats....and, thanks for the ping!
No problem
I am on your ping list, but I do not recall saying anything inspiring. There is a feeling of accomplishment, though. I was a professional magazine writer in my college days, but nothing other than advertising copy, letters to the editor, and comic strip content since then. I did have a short attempt at being a publisher, and have done some editing, but no long form writing. Good for you for sticking to something that comes easily for few who practice it well (Rex Stout and P.G. Wodehouse are among those few).
Best wishes. I hope your book is a success.
Congratulations OneVike... thanks for pinging me.
Quite the contrary. Glad to be pinged. And if in some small way I helped, then I am thrilled.
No problem.
I do not think I got pinged.
I think I just read your post and wondered what the Long Knives issue was all about.
I recall the name Lucian Goldberg, but I do not recall the context, even after your reference to the website.
Congratulations on your first book.
I have learned more on Free Republic than in all my years of public and private education.
I’m having a hard time figuring out how I might’ve helped you. I see only one FRMail from you, I may have sent you prayers a while back when you were looking at some staggering medical bills (IIRC).
At any rate, congratulations!
No worries friend, I saw the post but happy you pinged me. I am impressed that you persevered to write a book! I ordered one! I pray GOD’s favor on this work of your hands and heart! May GOD be glorified. In Jesus’ name!
Congratulations, Chuck!
I did see the post but haven’t commented yet. keep me on your list, Brother.
(((HUGS)))
I kid. Congrats!
Congratulations!
I saw a youTube video in which the use of this software was discussed by Jordan and his daughter and son. Jordan’s son explained that he had software writing credentials and that he had put a lot of effort into making the interface self-explanatory. The design was specifically for writing essays, but they noted that proper usage to create an essay is to write way more prose than you plan to publish, then cut it down to size - in the process, necessarily “discarding” text that you wrote and have fallen in love with. Instead of literally deleting such text, the program saves it for future use in other essays.
Bottom line here is that they asserted that their authoring pgm would be serviceable for writing a book by composing it one chapter (“essay”) at a time.
FWIW.
The challenge, love, and toil of book writing, when complete, should alwways be tethered with the exclamation,, ‘excelsior!’
Now comes the hard art, or so I am told, releasimg it from your hands into that enigmatic creature, “the reddin’ ‘n’ comprendin’ hoomin’.
I wish you three print release editions!!
Nana is proud of you and your accomplishment
😃
Thanks for the ping and I’ll be sure to look for you r book.
Congratulations!
