High School Student Violently Attacks English Teacher Reportedly After Poor Classroom Evaluation [GA]

A Gwinnett County School District English teacher suffered a violent attack from one of his students, according to reports and video footage.

A student at Discovery High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia, was recorded hitting his teacher multiple times on school property Tuesday, according to cellphone video footage shared with WSB-TV2.

The video depicts what seems to be the high school student and the teacher engaging in a short discussion before the student is seen striking the teacher repeatedly with his fists. The student continues to beat the English teacher even after one of his blows forces the latter off his feet, as seen in the video footage.

The teacher received help from a separate student, who can be seen in the video tackling the suspected attacker off of the teacher. The recording also captures a separate student claiming the teacher received a bloody mouth in the altercation.

The teacher’s wife spoke anonymously about her husband’s reported beating to WSB-TV2. She said her husband sustained injuries to the head, as well as a bloody mouth and a feeling of dizziness, the outlet reported.

“I don’t think people should have the crap beat out of them when they go to work,” his wife told WSB-TV2. “I just want the students and the teachers to be safe, because my husband signed up to be a teacher. He loves his job.”

The reported attack happened after the teacher spoke to the student’s parents Monday about his poor classroom performance, according to WSB-TV2. The teacher’s wife said she was thankful her husband’s attack wasn’t worse, and called for better safety measures for students and teachers, the outlet continued.

“I just would like better security. And I would like for a student not have to be the one that pulls another student off of my loved one,” she told WSB-TV2.

The Gwinnett County school board recently faced frustrated parents when the district released numbers showing an increase in violent fights within the school system after it relaxed its policies on violence, 11ALIVE reported.

Gwinnett County Schools experienced a 35% increase in fights across its schools from August through October, compared to the same three months in the 2021-22 school year, the outlet reported. The school board’s numbers found that at the end of the first three months of the 2022-23 school year, there have been 638 fights, according to 11ALIVE.

Discovery High School and Gwinnett County Public Schools did not respond to the Daily Caller’s request for comment.

I was recently commenting in another thread that school police forces are a bad idea, as it makes it too easy for school systems to sweep incidents under the rug. Having police / sheriff’s deputies on site who are not beholden to the school system is A Good Thing.

Yes, schools and universities have long demanded to be allowed to set up alternative law-enforcement reality distortion bubbles.

Diversity is our strength.

I know you're kidding but no it's not. A certain demographic is nothing but a drain on society and drags us all down. Yeah, it's that segment of society, the one that commits almost 70% of all crimes in America.

Done no doubt in response to Federal rules about punishments and their supposed racial discrepancies. I am sure the student and likely the teacher are of a protected race, and the student over 16 years of age.

> school police forces are a bad idea <

Yes, indeed. But what’s worse is that teacher unions are now complicit in the cover-ups. Our union leaders don’t want to talk about how unsafe the schools are. Instead they want to talk about things like gay rights and Climate Change

It’s maddening.

We had a “southern gentleman” teaching at my high school, in Oregon. In 1976, we had a black student enroll. The teacher’s reaction. upon seeing the kid, was “Get your black ass out of my classroom.”

Different time.

I’m just outside Philly, which is next to Camden, Chester, Marcus Hook, Claymont, Wilmington, and Baltimore.

I went to public school in Wilmington.
I know diversity all too well.

Diversity Uber Alles.

And if you complain about your kids being beaten, raped or robbed, and you don’t loudly proclaim that reverse racism is now a holy cause, you will be punished in every way that the wokesters can arrange.

The feral majority subset of the 13% are killing American society, and our overlords WANT it that way.

Refuse to be a victim. Carry always, and be prepared to defend yourself in the most effective and permanent of ways.

This is very common at public schools

I know a teacher who was attacked and got 20 stitches.

Of course, she also gets 6 months medical leave, life-time medical care, and full salary, paid for by the taxpayers

If you live here like we do this is not shocking news. The sad truth is that the schools are so bad most whites have their kids in private schools. Some blacks also. I would not let my child go to any high school in Gwinnett county. Crime and drugs through the roof. Its not like it was 34 years ago when we first moved here. People are leaving like flies. As soon as our house sells we are going to be fulltime at our compound in Usher sham county.

I have to wonder whether our public schools have had a discernible and significant REDUCTION IN AVERAGE IQs since the passage of the DemocRATS’ Great Society Program in 1965. The 55 years since passage represents almost three full generations of encouragement of reproduction of the low-IQ “Welfare Queen” culture.
