Somebody gave me an American dollar coin and so I figure I should it to retire while it still is a reserve currency.
Where can I go with it?
South America! You can discover Commies and Massive Inflation. Then move back to USA, say California and It will be great compared to South America.... 🤣
I happen to be very partial to S.E. Tennessee, however the healthcare for someone like me isn't that great. As a result, I'll probably end up within an hour of a University town for that. Just started looking once both my sons were relocated to TN in the last few weeks. Targeting next Summer for my move.
Come to Kingsport Tennessee
Maybe Hungary (sic ain’t leaving)). There is a severe spreading cancer in this country.
I've been there. It didn't look like a place to retire.
The weather sucks and massholes own the southern part of the state but it’s still better than VT.
I mean Florida is now full of yankees and other refugees from blue states......very little if any real estate to be had.
Plenty of property to be had in north Dakota though
True. If you use that old dollar coin to buy a nice home in a blue state, next thing you know, some Commie apparatchik will be subletting it into tenement apartments and screaming that you could fit thirteen families in there.
We moved to NW Arkansas from California. I love it! Lots to do, and it’s red.
1) No income tax, no sales tax and no tax on Social Security benefits.
2) Closer to the children, who still live in MA, but not close enough to be a nuisance to them or become a permanent babysitter for them.
3) Has potential to become a red state (one can dream)
4) Excellent climate (taste of all four seasons)
5) Plenty of hiking trails and not too far away from beaches
Florida was actually my personal #1 choice but the wife hates the heat & humidity, the bugs and being so far away from the grandkids.
It's not the minorities per se but the ghettoes. Protected minorites (protected by their moms who see them as poor little victims and protected by liberals and commies) are taught to hate America, hate Whites, and hate the police. So you get a lot of very angry young men and women often fueled by drugs and alcohol.
Add to that mix that the police can't protect themselves with a weapon without finding themselves in court and, potentially, having their careers and very lives threatened with destruction.
So you get an environment which is worse than a jungle by an order of magnitude.
There are probably plenty of well-meaning liberals (I know some) who don't realize that they are being used by communists to destroy our systems. They support the protected minorities and cry when they are hurt, but they never seem to catch onto the fact that their softness on crime is contributing to the expansion of violence in these ghettoes. But that is exactly what is happening.
Some are fleeing the insanity and want no part of it.
But some are so infected with it that they're bringing the disease with them. We need to deflect these sickos to some other blue state or some communist country.
I think that the political answer is Wyoming. As soon as the mental case, Liz Cheney is gone it should be an acceptable place to be. But, for a life style choice, I think West Virginia is a better choice.
I vote WV!
Quit your job, but don’t retire.
Foolish idea
If they get around to banning air-conditioners, you might see real estate in Florida open up a bit.
“We need to deflect these sickos to some other blue state......”
Be happy to......however I wouldn’t have an inking of how to accomplish that
South Dakota
Governor Kristi Noem is a rancher, farmer, small business owner, and New York Times bestselling author of Not My First Rodeo: Lessons Learned From the Heartland.
In 2010, after serving in the South Dakota legislature for several years, Noem was elected to serve as South Dakota's lone member of the U.S. House of Representatives. During her time in Congress, in addition to many other successes, Governor Noem helped pass the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which put $2,400 back in the pockets of the average South Dakota family.
In 2018, with the platform of protecting South Dakotans against tax increases, government growth, federal intrusion, and government secrecy, she was elected as South Dakota's first-ever female Governor.
As Governor, Noem has respected the rights of her people by trusting them to exercise their personal responsibility to make the best decisions for themselves, their loved-ones, and – in turn – their communities. This approach has been most evident in her response to the COVID-19 pandemic:
Governor Noem never ordered a single business or church to close and never issued a statewide shelter-in-place order.
Prescott, AZ. Rarely gets over 90 and when it snows, melts quickly.
