A Florida woman is suing the parent company of Velveeta’s microwavable Shells & Cheese cups after claiming it takes longer to prepare the meal than the 3 1/2 minutes the box label says.
The suit alleges that the statement of "’ready in 3 1/2 minutes’ is false and misleading because the product takes longer than the 3-and-a-half minutes to prepare for consumption."
It goes on to quote the four steps to prepare the meal that are printed on the box label before alleging that the 3 1/2-minute ready time is "just the length of time to complete one of several steps," referring to the time it takes to microwave the product after having mixed in other ingredients listed in previous steps.

Then buy some macaroni and buy some cheese and make yourself about triple the amount of a four pack of the microwave stuff. Someone should ask her what does the time it takes have to do with the money sue saves?
It is noteworthy that this is a class action lawsuit.

Maybe it’s her microwave and she doesn’t understand wattage. Her lawyer should be disbarred.

The judge should toss the case with prejudice, tell the stupid bimbo she is a vacuous moron, and make her lawyer pay for the company's legal fees and also order that same lawyer that he may not charge the bimbo for the legal fees he had to pay.
Lawyers who file these lawsuits need to be hammered into bankruptcy and have their law licenses revoked.

Gee, If I didn’t hate lawyers, judges and juries as much as I do, I’d sue them for the “cheese” part.

Totally agree.
Run tests to check the claim. If the product consistently underperforms by far, the company and its advertising need a good, sound shake up. I applaud this woman, but only on condition she has not been incompetent in using the product.

3 and a half minutes.
A jiffy is indeed a unit of time, but the problem is that it is a different amount of time in different fields of science and technology. There isn’t any universal standard jiffy.
