I just had a thought while reading about the shooting in Colorado.
Where are the conservatives? As the years go by, we - fellow conservatives and Freepers - watch as liberals, progressives, socialists, and statists take over American institutions. School board, teachers inside the schools, AG's throughout the states, social media sites, orgranizations such as Ford Foundation, Nobel committees, inside sports organizations, inside big businesses, and so on.
As these anti-American/Constitutional forces move in, where are the conservatives? Where do they go? What organizations do they belong to and/or control? Even on FR, you have voices that sound more anti-American/Constitutional than pro.
What are your thoughts?
Leftists are collectivists by nature and the American left has played a very well organized long game. We are individualists, not ‘joiners’, don’t do grass roots organization well. They’ve also been indoctrinating the youth for 50+ years and we have little influence in that arena. It’s hard to see when you’re in it, but we now live in a leftist quasi-authoritarian society now and conservatives are afraid to speak out for fear or economic or physical harm.

It is not the murders in Colorado. It is the CO AG. What he said. And then you look around the nation and you see a lot more AGs with the same mentality. And then I thought of corporations, businesses, school boards, etc. It is not the action that occurred but the response to the action. Do you understand now?
Thank you. I’ve thought a lot about this over the years and the intrinsic collectivist vs individualist dynamic of the respective groups I think explains a lot.

What conservatives are you talking about? Your so called conservative representatives give you nothing but lies and lip service. They're not going to do sh*t. Trump was surrounded by professional Republican career politicians who did nothing but line up to stab the man in the back. Now they've completely subverted the elections, so what next?

Probably because they won’t compromise their values to get into positions like that.

most give up. I did almost 15 years ago and only recently started hangin around here again to break boredom. the conservatives who matter are old and gray now. the new millenium doesnt gaf... this country and world is shot. the only thing we can do is make the best of out last days.

Unfortunately, we are dying of old age. I have never seen a poll showing that most people under 50 have conservative values.
People just don’t believe in the Bible and none of these preachers is really being persuasive to them. All I see in churches and synagogues are 60+ or adults who were born and raised that way. Never any young converts from atheism. And lots of the young ones don’t think the Bible is all truth either.
We’re going to have to try something different. No idea what though.
