Because these types of activities just don't interest most conservatives.

We are busy building businesses, working at a job to support our families, raising our kids, recreation with powersports vehicles, going to church, spectating sports events, etc.

I have a theory on this. It’s just an idea I’m working through - not perfect.

I think they are still there, but have been conditioned to not recognize evil and shun it as appropriate. I believe this happened through the churches and communist infiltration of them long ago.

Look, drag queens are evil. But many conservatives have been conditioned to believe it’s just a lifestyle and we should accept people’s differences. No, that stuff is evil and I don’t allow it in my house. I don’t let it around my kids. Drags and their ilk are not my friends or acquaintances. Why should I have a friend that is evil? Blue-haired abortion activists are evil. Communists of all stripes are evil, I don’t want them around me or at my table for Thanksgiving. I don’t want them in my community or at my parades.

Hell yes I discriminate. I discriminate against evil! I won’t allow it in my house.

I think we need to get back to not being afraid to call out evil and shun it.

Trouble is, the evil ones have put teeth in their dogma. Say the wrong thing, you’re out of a job, or can’t see the grandkids anymore. We’re in a spot, that’s for sure.

Lately conservatives eat their own.

Earning a living based on their efforts. And that takes rime.

They don’t have time to lounge around and do frilly things, they are earning a rightful living ... not leeching off the government.

I think the opening poster is fully aware of all that. You list all these great American activities that we are involved in but those cherished activities will eventually disappear unless we are more proactive. I believe that is his/her point.

The anti-American/Constitutional forces infiltrate the offices and boards of corporations and businesses. They infiltrate the colleges, school boards, the schools. Why are more conservatives not controlling these and other entities?

“Free” money.

Federal “gifts”/funds is why corporations, schools, AND STATES are bought and sold by the feds.

Those from conservative backgrounds start out with those views but as they move through the educational system the bias toward liberal-progressive ideas becomes increasingly real. In high school it may be just being shunned by the girls who are sympathetic with abortion, gay issues, etc but in grad school it comes down to not speaking openly if you want your grant or fellowship approved.

So they either adopt liberal views themselves or at best, learn to suppress their conservative views in order to get along and get ahead.

Conservatives are working hard supporting their families, while the schools they pay for turn their kids into social justice warriors.

A big part of this, is that leftists are willing to sacrifice impurities for a greater long run gain.

Some conservatives won't work with "freaks" or anyone with whom they're not in 75% alignment.

That limits collaboration to build a massive coalition, and thus liberty withers.

Let's take this club in Colorado....which is a similar tragedy to the Orlando shooting in 2016.

Conservatives should be arming the gays, expanding the club of 2nd Amendment adherents, and halting fruitless gun controls.

The essence of this coalition is embodied in this picture.

However, many times when I posted this pic, fellow FReepers basically said "gays are the enemy" and they'd never work with them.

Now, I totally understand not wanting to sanction sex outside of marriage...that's a violation of a Commandments. And I get that some guys are afraid that they'll get cooties if they interact with gays. Or, worse yet, someone may think THEY are gay.

But Jesus interacted with tax collectors, adulteresses, and the like. He CONVERTED them. Now, that didn't always happen, but exposing statist-leaning people to freedom without disdain dripping from ones lips, can help the cause.

Naaahhhh..not with THEM.

So this awesome potential to expand liberty, and maybe get a few people on the Road to Damascus, is rarely experienced.

I never saw a movement shrink itself to glory. But I guess our side will keep trying, while leftist folks grow in numbers.

I think I'm on the same general page.

Tolerance was pushed a good idea. And it is. That's why America was a melting pot for decades. Irish, Italians, Jews, etc came here and after maybe a rough start, plenty of people found opportunity and acceptance. That's America. Conservatives embrace this.

But then the Left started pushing some very odd things. Some Conservatives pushed back -- hey, that's not America.
But the Left had their response: Why are you so intolerant? Why can't you accept things? Why are you a jerk?

And Conservatives largely stepped back and said, "Tolerance is good. I support tolerance. I don't want to be a jerk."

This became a classic slippery slope in which Conservatives lost more and more influence and were increasingly marginalized ("those intolerant jerks") and largely gave up in many parts of the country.
