Thank you for your thoughtful wishes. I am missing Connie quite a bit and I will during the coming years. I really thought she and I would grow old together. After writing that sentence, I had to pause and reflect for a minute. She was a buffer between the more liberal members of the fam.
As to this covid bout, I am not saying I’m over it, but I am doing quite well. When the stores open in a few hours, I’ll head out, with a mask on and update that bit of wardrobe which needs updating, i.e. new shoes and perhaps a nice black jacket.
We, too, have family coming in but most of them will stay elsewhere. My kids have priority at this house.
I just looked out my window and see some anchor azaleas in bloom. Connie gave me that bush. She will always be with me in some fashion.
God is with both our families. We can be blessed by the memories of our loved ones, knowing that God will bring us together again.
