Russian President Vladimir Putin scolded the West on Thursday for playing what he cast as a "dangerous, bloody and dirty" geopolitical game, but said the United States and its allies would ultimately have to talk to Russia.
"Power over the world is what the so-called West has put on the line in its game - but the game is dangerous, bloody and I would say dirty," Putin told the Valdai Discussion Club. "The sower of the wind, as they say, will reap the storm."

Look, Putin had to say this to keep Iran Happy—so they will sell him more drones for the war in Ukraine. Did Hitler ever say Mussolini was an idiot in public? No. Look at it from Putin’s point of view—he must keep the Axis alive and well.

Any idea how much longer this monster can keep living? Anyone?

Wrong. I only wish he had received the Mujahideen skin peel.
I sure as heck did not see it.
You need to start coming clean as to what your real motivation is in this conflict.
I for one am fed-up with people like you who insist that we, the U.S. taxpayers & citizens, spend our resources (money weaponry, and human bodies) to safeguard the world, when the world cannot be safeguarded by one nation acting alone. Which is what it really comes down to in the end as others start to get less & less involved as time goes on.
I don’t believe the Putin cult supports Trump, DeSantis or any conservative.
You know they had a meltdown when Trump called Putin’s actions “genocide”.

Putin: “They have no limits. They are not shy about anything. They killed Soleimani, an Iranian general. You can judge Solemani however you want, but this an official in another state. They killed him on a territory of a third country and said, “Yes, we killed him.”

Report: Iran Plots to Kill Trump
A recent intelligence leak report indicates that Iran is plotting to kill or capture former President Donald Trump as well as former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
According to the Mirror, Iran is seeking to avenge the death of its beloved commander, Major General Qasem Soleimani, who was killed in a drone strike two years ago.

You can appreciate Trump’s actions in taking out Soleimani for his past evils against Americans WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY recognizing Putin’s point that unilaterally taking out the government official of a country we’re not ostensibly at war with is a dangerous game to play.
It’s not that hard.
And for those criticizing marcusmaximus for allegedly editorializing...come on. It’s trivial to find Putin’s original speech wherein he briefly talks about Soleimani as part of his greater point regarding the attitude of the “neo-liberal West” (even if he didn’t mention Trump by name).
