Football builds character in young men that non-contact sports don't. I made it through Marine Reconnaissance training in large part because football taught me not to quit when I got my dick knocked in the dirt. It also taught me to keep my cool and be aggressive between the whistles.

So did I. I played WR on offense, CB on defense, was the gunner on kick off, Returned punts. We dressed out 22 players my senior year.
What did that get me? When I went in the corps my recruiter had to give me a physical fitness evaluation. I had to run 3 miles. He drove me out to a line they had painted on the road and said "It's 3 miles back to the recruiters office", started a stopwatch and drove back. I was standing in front of his desk in 15 minutes 57 seconds. He accused me of getting a ride. I said "I'll do it again right now just as fast!" and I could have. I ran for 60 minutes straight every football game.

Presidentish Joe Biden shared the good news about the economy (maybe he’s off his meds) on Friday and very nearly held something like a brief press conference immediately afterward — and I’m here to briefly tell you what happened in order to spare you from having to watch the thing.

Thank you for all the prayers and good thoughts for my dear Bestie. You all are so kind and wonderful! I heard from her, and there are some issues, not terrible ones, but she is cheerful and upbeat and fully trusting in the Lord, which makes me feel a lot more at ease. And I think that if I can get her on some of little jeremiah’s herbal protocols, she’ll find the issues will improve or even go away. She is open to them, and willing to try. And our uncanny friendship has helped make her stress level a lot lower than it would be without it. (Reverse is true for me too on that - God is good!)
