The Nightmare COVID Variant That Beats Our Immunity Is Finally Here
The Daily Beast ^ | 10/16/2022 | David Axe

Posted on 10/17/2022 9:46:33 AM PDT by Jan_Sobieski

A new subvariant of the novel-coronavirus called XBB dramatically announced itself earlier this week, in Singapore. New COVID-19 cases more than doubled in a day, from 4,700 on Monday to 11,700 on Tuesday—and XBB is almost certainly why. The same subvariant just appeared in Hong Kong, too.

A highly mutated descendant of the Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that drove a record wave of infections starting around a year ago, XBB is in many ways the worst form of the virus so far. It’s more contagious than any previous variant or subvariant. It also evades the antibodies from monoclonal therapies, potentially rendering a whole category of drugs ineffective as COVID treatments.

“It is likely the most immune-evasive and poses problems for current monoclonal antibody-based treatments and prevention strategy,” Amesh Adalja, a public-health expert at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, told The Daily Beast.

That’s the bad news. The good news is that the new “bivalent” vaccine boosters from Pfizer and Moderna seem to work just fine against XBB, even though the original vaccines are less effective against XBB. They won’t prevent all infections and reinfections, but they should significantly reduce the chance of severe infection potentially leading to hospitalization or death. “Even with immune-evasive variants, vaccine protection against what matters most—severe disease—remains intact..,” Adalja said.

OK, from another article “the large majority of patients in Singapore continue to report mild symptoms, such as sore throat or slight fever” That’s good to know.

Had my bout mid-August with same symptoms, not much more than a mild head cold. Ivermectin didn't seem to help but hydroxychloroquine with zinc did the trick. Had to get it from an independent pharmacy as my doctor was afraid to draw notice to himself by sending the prescription to Walgreens.

Based on testing it on 18 mice.

Remember: this "bivalent" version hasn't been clinically tested on any human beings.

That means if you take it, YOU'RE the guinea pig!

I drove into town this morning and noticed dead bodies everywhere on the sidewalks. I knew immediately it was a new strain of COVID.
Yep, even the vultures were dying.

It sounds like the bio labs have been really busy. Gotta keep those emergency powers going.

My favorite part of this article is where they compare previous infection to the new bivalent vaccines in regard to likelihood of serious symptoms with the new strain.

Just kidding. They don’t talk about that.

Worst case seems to be another funded flu:

“In K18-hACE2 mice, while Omicron causes mild, non-fatal infection, the Omicron S-carrying virus inflicts severe disease with a mortality rate of 80%. This indicates that while the vaccine escape of Omicron is defined by mutations in S, major determinants of viral pathogenicity reside outside of S.”

LOL!

Maybe this one will kill more than the vaccines that are supposed to cure it?

...Now it's impossible to do because one bumps into a someone stopping in mid walk to look at their cell. NY-ers walk slower now, in a ADHD style.

Sidewalks in cities are so outdated that they need lanes marked for direction of travel and pedestrians need air horns to blast like a car horn.

Walkers who stop in the middles of the street for a selfie need their phones slapped to the pavement and/or be beaten with their selfie sticks.

(My Comment) : Oh Goody, Goody ! Another vaccine to prevent 'severe illness, hospitalization, or death.
Another vaccine variant to combat another virus variant and further enrichen Big Pharma
You have to wonder whether there will be a clinical study longer than four months, when we don't even know the medical reactions to the last pseudo-vaccine

Fool me twice, shame on me “

Better question: who thought that insisting on mass vaccination using experimental vaxxes all keyed to the same spike protein during the pandemic of an RNA virus was a smart idea?

That Deep State did it anyway is continuing proof, to my mind anyway, that CoupFlu has NEVER been about public health.
