A new subvariant of the novel-coronavirus called XBB dramatically announced itself earlier this week, in Singapore. New COVID-19 cases more than doubled in a day, from 4,700 on Monday to 11,700 on Tuesday—and XBB is almost certainly why. The same subvariant just appeared in Hong Kong, too.
A highly mutated descendant of the Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that drove a record wave of infections starting around a year ago, XBB is in many ways the worst form of the virus so far. It’s more contagious than any previous variant or subvariant. It also evades the antibodies from monoclonal therapies, potentially rendering a whole category of drugs ineffective as COVID treatments.
“It is likely the most immune-evasive and poses problems for current monoclonal antibody-based treatments and prevention strategy,” Amesh Adalja, a public-health expert at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, told The Daily Beast.
That’s the bad news. The good news is that the new “bivalent” vaccine boosters from Pfizer and Moderna seem to work just fine against XBB, even though the original vaccines are less effective against XBB. They won’t prevent all infections and reinfections, but they should significantly reduce the chance of severe infection potentially leading to hospitalization or death. “Even with immune-evasive variants, vaccine protection against what matters most—severe disease—remains intact..,” Adalja said.

I believe so…a form of ADE
Funny thing- i was speaking to a friend in the gym this morning who is a doctor and who is politically very liberal but hates Fauci and realizes the vaccines were a scam for the most part. He detests what’s been done to anyone who spoke against the Kung Flu narrative fed to people by Fauci and the CDC.
We were talking about another far left doctor in the gym, whom he doesn’t like and who blamed the unvaccinated for the first Kung Flu variants.
My friends reply?? The vaccines caused the variants because the virus finds a way to survive. He explained it in complicated medical terms but his logic was clear- vaccines are causing all the variants.
Doesn’t sound so bad. Doesn’t matter if it’s 100% contagious, only if it causes symptoms when it infects.
Yeah, my thinking, too. Just before midterm elections. How convenient…
“The good news is that the new “bivalent” vaccine boosters from Pfizer and Moderna seem to work just fine against XBB, even though the original vaccines are less effective against XBB.”
I would not trust even a vitamin pill from either of those companies. They have shown us who they are. I’ll take my chances with the flu just like I have for the previous 65 years of not having the flu.
Yes, there’s a big difference in “it’s gonna kill me” and “it’s gonna give me a runny nose”
I would not say it was inadvertent.
Just last week we saw a video of a Pfizer representative saying their vaccine hadn’t been tested before they released it, so how can they say it works just fine, NOW?
Oh good God.
WHEN WILL IT END?
And of course, NOTHING works - BUT THE VACCINES! (disclaimer: only to reduce symptoms and prevent death and hospital - but of course, we can’t prove a negative.)
Well according to this, nothing works well for it - except the precious vaccines!
When will it end? Never….
Which is true of this damn thing all along.
This is the biggest hoodwink of all time. Scamdemic.
Shut it down.
Shut it all down.
Hard.
Nip it in the bud.
“...the good news is that the new “bivalent” vaccine boosters from Pfizer and Moderna seem to work just fine against XBB...”
Someone needs to check daily beasts bank accounts for recent 6+ figure deposits.
About dang time. Lock ‘em up! Because the entire health “industry” no longer has much credibility on this issue. We remain “NON GMO” entities. 🔬😲😵😷🚫💉💊🐎💩
“They won’t prevent all infections and reinfections, but they should significantly reduce the chance of severe infection potentially leading to hospitalization or death.”

Same ole BS story.
Chicken Littles are everywhere in our society.
Just in time for the mid-terms. Who didn’t see this coming?
“Peter Hotez, an expert in vaccine development at Baylor College, told The Daily Beast”.
OR, Peter Hotez, the bowtie wearing jackhole who wanted to lockdown the entire State of Texas for 6 months.
Screw that twist.
Superbugs
