It’s a widely held belief that monogamy comes more naturally to women than it does to men. A lot of people subscribe to a narrative that says the sexes are just “wired” differently, with women having evolved to be monogamous and men to be promiscuous.

In UNTRUE: Why Nearly Everything We Believe About Women, Lust, and Infidelity is Wrong and How the New Science Can Set Us Free , Martin offers a provocative read based on the latest research studies and interviews with experts in human sexuality that challenges us to think differently about women and sex. She sets the record straight on a number of false beliefs about female sexuality in particular, including when and why women cheat.
Now that we have divorce at will, we can all see that it is, of course, the woman who has the midlife crisis, and for obvious reasons.
Mankind is made to operate anywhere from monogamy to polygamy, depending on conditions of war. The man must perform at a moment’s notice. The woman must see that the job is done - if he’s not available, oh well.
Marriage is designed to facilitate monogamy.
It’s rather obvious, when thought about.

In my work I find that women initiate divorce because they cannot abide the ambiguity of separation. Men on the other hand do not mind separation ambiguity at all and it actually protects them from serious ties with other women as they play the field.

Women are not biologically built to be promiscuous, they are run by biology that selects for certain quality in mates. They get ONE, one egg a month.
In the old days before the pill and abortion, making a bad selection had dire consequences for women.
You can add in that todays women use of SSRIs have skyrocketed, off the freaking charts, in recent years.
Everyone laughs when the truth is expressed as a joke.
For some, its nervous laughter, they don’t want certain people realizing its more than just a joke.

On the other hand I do not believe that either sex finds it difficult if they have made their minds up to be faithful.
It is just a matter of having decided.
And then sticking to it.
THAT is exactly right. In fact, even says so in this nonsense of a study. Men and women have different sex drives. The damage these authors are causing ends up with women being on SSRIs, alcoholics, and inability to pair bond or have healthy relationships. Utter nonsense.
