But first of all I would, if woke means, you know, we are not focused on war fighting, we are not focused on readiness, that doesn’t reflect what I see at installations all around the country or overseas when I go and visit.”
“But I think we do have a wide range of soldiers in our army, and we’ve got to make them all feel included, and that’s why a lot of our diversity, equity, and inclusion programs are important,” concluded Wormuth. […]

I have a friend who is a dental assistant at a major military base in Southern California.
She told me that more than half of those who seek dental work, no matter how minor, always ask “is this going to hurt” and flinch, squirm and call out “ouch” when given a novocaine shot.
And it is more common than not to see those sitting in the dental chair with threaded eyelashes, makeup...
Her statement was, “God pray these recruits never face enemy fire”.
Now, all you gung-ho warmongers who think we could dedtroy Russia or China militarily, best look at what our military has turned into. We have awakened to a woke military... worse than a nightmare.
As far as military victory goes, my default is that only God can give those, and obviously conditional upon obedience to Biblical laws.

When I'm forced to acknowledge that there is a "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program" (DEI), I always rephrase it as "Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity," a DIE Program ...

The size of the U.S. military in 2017 was half of what it was in 1990, and in general I think many signed up for the benefits rather than patriotism. 16% were women and racial and ethnic minorities made up 43%, and a poll from the Military Times and Syracuse University's Institute for Veterans and Military Families conducted in July 2020, 49.9 percent of 1,018 active-duty military respondents had an unfavorable view of the president, compared to about 38 percent who had a favorable view. It's so f'ed up. We use to teach young Marines that being a Marine was an honor, and made you one of an elite few. But DEI cannot abide elites, which are exclusive by their very nature.
Meritocracies are ruthless? I was of the understanding that whatever the opposite of a meritocracy is would have the quality of being ruthless, having no pity upon the hard worker and instead having regard for the person.
I say screw that, at least when it comes to the military. Merit is the only thing that matters.
