The new diversity and inclusion chief for the U.S. military’s Special Operations Command, Richard Torres-Estrada, has been reassigned pending the results of an investigation into politically-charged social media posts he made before he was hired, a spokesman told Breitbart News on Monday.
“Mr. Torres-Estrada has been assigned other duties at USSOCOM pending the results of the investigation,” said SOCOM spokesman Kenneth McGraw in an email.
He also confirmed the commander of SOCOM, Army Gen. Richard Clarke, has initiated an investigation into the social media posts, which included a meme comparing former President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.

The SCUMBAG cast derision and ill repute against the former commander-in-chief and so is guilty of military rules that clearly declare that a NO GO ZONE so a court martial is in order.
They DID know his background. That is why they chose him.

Gen. Richard Clarke will be retiring soon. I guess he didn’t realize that he was going against the Swamp.
Typically, at least up until the last two or three years....no one much in the commercial nor government world went to view your social media account. I suspect if you asked the Command...their HR team would tell you that it’s on the clearance paperwork to review, but they probably didn’t go line-by-line over his Twitter or Facebook account for the past five years. Nor do they want this as part of the process.
The problem now....once his account has been reviewed...it makes him ill-qualified to be in a Diversity and Inclusion job. If they attempt to overlook it, and he starts to pick on individuals for the same stuff he wrote about Trump....it’ll go to an IG inspection, and this whole thing gets dragged up a second time.
Someone needs to go to the guy and ask him to just resign...for the good of the Biden-administration. Otherwise, you are just waiting around for a year....until he commits some action requiring an IG situation to crank up.
Pretty funny....and it begs the question, just how far will they start going to review your social media comments? All the way back to 2009? If you wrote blogs back in 2005....would they go and read through 300 of them?
Mr. Torres.... He is a civilian likely GS-14/GS-15, he is not subject to the UCMJ and cannot face a Courts Martial unless he is in a war zone.
The writing is on the wall. If one has social media accounts they will be reviewed and any “presumed” negative material will be used against the applicant, or at least used as a discriminator.
Best to go off grid in that (Social Media) world, even FR posts can come back to haunt folks.
I thought anti-Trump posts were a requirement for a diversity and inclusion officer.
I deleted all social media. I suggest everyone else do the same.
Why? I would think that would’ve been considered an enhancement to his resume.
People in the Biden Administration have told the military to purge extremists. My take on this is that the military followed orders and purged one. More appointments by the Biden Administration might get reviewed with a magnifying glass for evidence of extremism now. So, maybe there are more to come.

I would have thought those posts were instrumental in his getting the job. He is just what they were looking for. The majority of GOPers in Trump’s cabinet were just as anti Trump. What’s the problem?
