Venison & bacon pie, fried mashed potatoes, carrots
and an orange cake. We are truly blessed to have not only
this food but our health. We have many
years to look forward to with you.

Root vegetables were very popular during the winter months.
Beets, swedes, turnips, radish (early winter) leeks, onions and of course potatoes.

They were not as good as real ones. We add an egg, onions, and herbs to mashed potatoes. Then fry.
