For the mentally sick, this movie will be a cult thing now, like the movie that Brandon Lee was killed making. Alec Baldwin, cult killer.

A piece of the sales, which could be healthy, given all the publicity.

I’d bet that movie will be a flop.

I thought this was a Bee piece. But a quick settlement, without a court battle, is almost always a good thing, and really rare nowadays.

Gaslighting. That movie will never be made. Period. No one will insure the producer or Baldwin. Period. You'll never see Baldwin in anything other than an interview or a TikTok rage-out video ever again.

"Last month, Deadline obtained a letter from Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies to the New Mexico Board of Finance requesting $635K to prosecute as many as four individuals with criminal and homicide charges related to the Rust tragedy (the DA was granted $317,750). The DA said in her letter that “one of the possible defendants is well known movie actor Alec Baldwin."

(26 Sep 2022) “...We are within weeks, if not days, of receiving the final report from the sheriff’s office,” Carmack-Altwies said during a New Mexico Board of Finance meeting on Sept. 20. She said while they are still awaiting reports “it’s become apparent that we will be potentially charging between one and four people with criminal charges and each of those charges will probably include some variation of our homicide statute...” https://www.cbsnews.com/news/alec-baldwin-rust-shooting-district-attorney-says-up-to-four-people-could-get-charged-homicide/

I find the settlement timing interesting in light of the above.

Did you know....

Baldwin personally picked out the gun.

"Rust" is about a young man who accidently shoots someone.

Baldwin co-authored the story.

Interesting that in all the hoopla about this murder, I seen very little about the armorer who gave the loaded gun to Baldwin.

One stipulation of the settlement is that Dick Cheney would be hired to oversee firearm safety.

I hope they change “Rust” into a gay rom-com. Those always do well.

From: Alec Baldwin and Rust producers will CONTINUE filming in January 2023 after reaching confidential settlement with slain cinematographer Halyna Hutchins' husband - and he will serve as executive producer

Alec Baldwin will continue filming Rust in January after reaching a confidential civil settlement with slain cinematographer Halyna Hutchins' husband.

Matthew Hutchins will serve as executive producer during the revival of the western as he, the producers and Baldwin agreed his wife's death was a 'terrible accident.'

...

Matthew Hutchins added: 'We have reached a settlement, subject to court approval, for our wrongful death case against the producers of Rust, including Alec Baldwin and Rust Movie Productions, LLC.

'As part of that settlement, our case will be dismissed. The filming of Rust, which I will now executive produce, will resume with all the original principal players on board in January 2023.'

The widower continued: 'I have no interest in engaging in recriminations or attribution of blame (to the producers or Mr. Baldwin). All of us believe Halyna's death was a terrible accident.

'I am grateful that the producers and the entertainment community have come together to pay tribute to Halyna's final work.'

Rust's director Joel Souza paid tribute to Hutchins' talent and creativity - and said the decision to continue to work on the film for her legacy is 'bittersweet.'

Souza added: 'My every effort on this film will be devoted to honoring Halyna's legacy and making her proud. It is a privilege to see this through on her behalf.'

He said he wished he'd worked with the cinematographer under different circumstances, but continuing the project will help with his own healing process.

Rust Movie Productions, LLC, through its attorney, Melina Spadone, said: 'We are pleased the parties came together to resolve this matter, which, subject to court approval, marks an important step forward in celebrating Halyna's life and honoring her work.'

Matthew Hutchins is an attorney with the Los Angeles firm, Latham & Watkins.

Latham & Watkins is Hunter Biden’s attorney.
