I like that these are portable, plug in countertop Reverse Osmosis units, that can
run on a very small generator if needed. Built in TDS in and out measurements,
and replaceable filters. The ones I bought a couple years ago look identical to
these, but the last 2 of it’s 4 filters were RO filters, instead of an RO and a post
carbon filter. I suspect the same can be done with these.

It does a nice job of making zero TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) water out of tap water as long as you keep a close eye on it with a TDS meter, changing the filter without delay as soon as the TDS starts measuring above zero, and clean everything fully every filter change.
Like a cat, I think water should move, so when I first put this together I thought it would be clever to also add a magnetic lab stirrer under the base to gently spin a Teflon coated magnetic pill inside the glass tank, causing the water in the tank to circulate clockwise perhaps 3 to 6 times a minute. (Adjustable)
Interestingly, during the last couple of filter changes I've noticed the need to clean some magnetically attracted black buildup off of that teflon coated pill magnet.
You can see a bit of it in the image on the right.
All water into our Covfefe Pot comes out of this this filter, so whatever our magnet is attracting out of our already zero TDS water, should not be adding to Dad's and my "attractiveness" by way of our beverage of choice, at least.

No covid (that we know of) and not vaxed. He’s extremely sedentary, except when he’s headed to the kitchen or the bathroom. Half of the house is carpet, but the other half is semi-slick laminate or vinyl planks. Sometimes he will put on his shoes and other times he goes sliding around in socks. His main problem appears to the lightheadedness caused by the clots. According to the doctors, the clots seem to be caused by being so sedentary. I have been trying to nag him out of the recliner for years but he’s stubborn.
His blood oxygen was 84 at the hospital, caused by clots that were not letting him breathe. The stubborn part of him didn’t tell me that it was also 84 at the doctor’s office two weeks prior either. If I had known that, he would have been at a not-local doctor or ER finding out why, before he fell twice. He finally told me that the first time they checked his oxygen, it was 83 and they were going to send him to the local ER but after it bounced back to 84, they didn’t. They let him drive home!
No diabetes that we know of. He has his BS tested at his doctor’s office but they also let him drive home with an oxygen level of 84 two weeks ago. No vax of any kind or new meds.
He asked what both pills were while I was sitting there. I’m going down this morning, so I’ll sneak a peek at the IV. If the nurse is in the room, I’ll ask.

Thanks CTC. Most of us in here aren’t kids so we have spouses that are having issues, or we are having issues. It comes with living long enough, I guess. His main blessing right now is that I’m almost 20 years younger than he is even though I’m in my 60’s. Except for a weak ankle, I’m fit and so far, I’m healthy.
I have bought slipper socks, house shoes with rubber bottoms, and all manner of footwear, and he will still make a run to the bathroom without them. Slipper socks make his legs swell, not because of diabetes but because he’s too sedentary. His legs are extremely weak. I had to buy a new recliner because he wore his first one out and his legs were too weak to push down and lock the bottom when he wanted to get up from reclining. I ended up buying him one of the older style recliners. I didn’t know he was having lung issues, because he didn’t tell me about the low oxygen at the doctor’s office, so to get him out of the chair I have been making him fix his own lunch and do little things that involved getting up. I noticed the other day when he went to the mailbox that he had to stop and rest twice coming back so I started doing that. That was the first clue to me that something was really off. Two days later he fell and went to the hospital.
He has so much junk in his room that requires being plugged in that this old house doesn’t have enough outlets for an electrically operated recliner. He won’t let anything go in order to free up outlets. I keep a fire extinguisher in his room. He knows better too. He’s a retired electrical engineer.
So, I see a hospital bed stationed in the living room someday down the road. At least if he falls out, he will fall on carpet.
Sorry I wrote a “book” but time is at a premium around here right now and before daylight is my only free time.

Near the end it says “put your own interests about” instead of “above”. That seems like a pretty glaring error that should have been caught before going out.
OTOH, autocorrect is both a blessing and a curse. I can’t tell you how many times it has “corrected” something I wrote to the wrong word and snuck by me without my notice (until after I hit “send”).

I also noticed the “17” early on. I can’t remember how he worked it in, but it was a new (at least to me) 17 reference.
In the past, he has often said “visited DC 17 times”, etc. Some of these I recognize. But there was something new and different (to me) about this one.
