What a coincidence.
I just received a phone call (I assumed a scam) saying I had received a delivery that required a signature and there they had contacted me twice trying to get a signature.
I did have a signature required delivery a few weeks ago.
You think that’s bad, try the postal package system.
Sounds like the Fedex guy took it upon himself to check the signature on file box so he would not have to lug the tires around. I would have asked to see the signature and I would report it to his boss.
You still have to sign for drugs.
If the delivery person can sign for you without ever handing you the package, why require the signature?
(If you should happen to report to a shipper that you never received the Expensive Item you ordered, let FedEx and the shipper settle it.)
The ground dummies (contractors) can’t find my house despite it being on a block long street and having GPS. And believe me, if they misdeliver a package, once it’s marked as “delivered”, you’re screwed as far as getting through to FedEx system. All they know is “delivered” and “maybe it was stolen”. I finally punched thru their nightmare phone system to report fraud or something and told the person I wasn’t getting off the line til they helped me, regardless of the reason. They did - there’s a difference between “tracking” and “tracing” and finally someone talked to the delivery person who of course couldn’t remember anything.
Turned out they delivered to a house that was vacant and some contractor put the package inside so it woudln’t get stolen, not realizing it was misdelivered. After the item was replaced by the seller, a realtor brought it to me, a week later.
You cannot get a live person to talk to at Fedex. My husband had a package that never arrived although it was “tracked” as delivered. The issue was never resolved and we were out the money.
In May I had a tire delivery show status of delivered...no tires in sight. Shipper immediately sent another shipment which finally arrived 3 days past the new promised delivery date. FedEx has screwed up every shipment to me this year.
The collapse of the American economy, and indeed western civilization, continues apace.
I had a set of nice wrenches that was sent usps
I waited for them, but no wrenches eventually I checked the website, delivered 30 min ago.
I drove around looking for mr postman found 2 other ones who said they would help.
Eventually they found the substitute guy who misdilivered and made him go back and get my wrenches.
He apologized and said he was dyslexic..
That's your choice but don't post a vanity here complaining how every time a delivery to your house is made and you were not home and you had to call the delivery agent to arrange for another delivery date..and hope you were home at that new date and time to sign for it.

And they wonder why their stocks are crashing...
How about customer service? Nope... like all current corporations. The customer is always wrong and they never make mistakes.
Sounds like government...
I have friends who sell on Ebay and Amazon. On the receiving end, it wont matter because most of the time, the delivery guy is an idiot.
FedEx is run by Indians now. And we should expect it to run like a company in India for the foreseeable future.
The “signature on file” button doesn’t necessarily mean they have your signature on file. That’s just their driver being lazy. Not much you can do about that, other than complain about the driver.
A few weeks ago I got an Amazon order. I noticed on the online ‘delivered’ that is was ‘hand delivered to recipient’. It was left on my doorstep.
Last week I noticed a big Amazon box sitting on my doorstep. I didn’t have any outstanding orders. My addy is 2014; it was addressed to 2114.
Amazon orders used to ‘finish’ their deliveries through the postal service. Now Amazon has their own delivery service in the area and it has been pathetic, so far.
Today I watched air traffic in America. I was SHOCKED with planes marked PRIME... obviously Bezos is taking his own merchandise from airport to airport. For sure this has hit Fed Ex in the pocket... When can there be action in Congress that BUSTS these monopolies..like Teddy Roosevelt took on the Railroads and made them divest... Isn’t there a danger for any company to monopolize the source, the procedure and end product?
