EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. That’s what I do. Now that I see that milk in quarts is “out of stock” I’ll start to buy two at a time and freeze it. The half-gallons are not only hard for me to handle but the milk goes bad before I can drink it.
I buy gingersnaps that way, too. They help a lot with my iffy stomach, but Walmart seems to be out of them a lot. When they’re in, I buy them each time I order groceries.
And I would love to go to Walmart in the early hours, just so I could walk around. *sigh* Soon! Utah can’t be that far away, now.
The Blake Mysteries are the spin-off of Dr. Blake Mysteries, and his “wife” is the lead. The police chief and the medical examiner are also in it, but all the rest of the old cast in gone. I’ve seen them in other shows from Downunder. New Zealand puts out some really good stuff. “800 Words” and “Brokenwood” to name just two.
I see a lot of Irish, Welsh and Scottish shows on BritBox, as well. Roku is a pretty good thing to have, just for the amount of British shows. (I use the term loosely to include what used to be Britain’s possessions.)

Afternoon! It poured rain here for a while. I don’t think it’s officially all that cold, but my feet are freezing. I had choir practice, and I also did an archery instructor course (online). I informed the Cub Scouts Shooting Sports leader, and he’ll arrange for practical class. This certification last three years and is good for Boy Scouts and non-Scouts in addition to Cub Scouts.
I’ve been gathering up the odd Christmas decorations, but haven’t really felt like doing much of anything. It’s all gloomy and ugly outside.
The last few days I haven’t been able to breathe right, and I don’t know why that is. Now my feet are all swollen and I don’t have a local doctor. There isn’t anyone I could even call about it.
The Other Folks are way busy today, of course, so I can’t talk to them. I just keep telling me to hang on a little longer! I’ll be out of here soon!

Cold and raining this morning, then it dropped 10° and started snowing.
We’ve got 4” of white crap on the ground, and so much still falling that visibility is only about 125 yds.
It’s going to be rainy with T-storms Monday and overcast tomorrow. It must be winter in the South.
I’m going to fix myself something to eat and then find my way into to sanctum sactorum so I can figure out the rest of my night.
I hope you have a good night, and that you rest well with no cats. Especially the ones who like to spew.
