EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. Good morning. Did you have a good night? I was going to.
In the last two days, four people have asked me for my “new” address to send Christmas cards to. The same people I sent cards to last year. But I guess they aren’t as meticulous about record-keeping as I am.
It’s 24° out and the lows all week will be about the same, with the highs only in the 40’s. *sigh* Gloom and rain for most of that time.

It’s snowing outside. It’s supposed to keep going until tomorrow morning. The weather alert says we could get 8 to 16 inches. At least it’s a warm 33fs outside.
Another 3. They’re catching up to the 5s, so I’m expecting to have a few 5s now. That’s my pattern.

I was having stressful dreams as well, but now, I’m going to start with the Christmas card thing and the letter to Charlie.

The weather doesn’t seem to agree with us, does it?
Tom the Son has gone to get the window tint removed from his car, so it will pass inspection. It’s been illegally dark all along, but the state recently cracked down.
Some states will allow dark tint on the rear window as well as the rear passenger windows but want less dark on the driver and front passenger side. Nevada was that way, so when the BB SUV was tinted, I had limousine tint in the back and “22%” on the front.
It’s so the police can see what’s going on inside the vehicle, and for nothing else. They make exceptions for people with skin cancer and other problems, such as taking sun-sensitive medications. Somehow, I don’t think Tom the Son quaiifies for any of that!
I wish him luck on it. It usually leaves a mess.
It’s the front seat windows. I want to be able to see the driver, too, so that I can get an idea of what he’s going to do next, being as how they won’t use their turn signals or come to a full stop at stop signs.
No but it does keep them from squeaking!
Yeah, I get that! I still feel bad that you had to be the DI (Driving Instructor) for all the chillrun that are driving cars in your family. That must have been the Neverending Story of Panic and Anxiety for you.
