EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners

DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

You’re making me think of a cartoon I saw once. Dad comes home and asks how everyone is. One of the kids says they had a great day. They wrote grandmother.

Dad says, “That’s nice. Did you write her a nice long letter?”

Kid: “Not a letter, just ‘Grandmother’”. In the background mom is a total wreck and there’s a piece of paper with the word Grandmother written on it.

I am truly lost Bob... Not only the miscellaneous scribblings of a broken heart, but I’ve also started work on two trilogies, a fantasy/adventure novel, and two children’s books...

Novel is about half way done, the poetry (bad, naturally) includes two short stories that I plan on cobbling into an anthology, and my Ex-wife and oldest child are going to collaborate on the artwork for the kids books and cover art.

My Mom and current girlfriend have both done professional editing work (medical and technical respectively).

So yes, I am well and completely damned...

He gets a lawn tractor and mulches everything, and leaves (literally) the mess in a pile in the driveway so people have to drive through muck to park. It looks ghastly.
