EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Good morning (barely). Happy Humph Day!
I had to take the car to the dealership for service. They let me schedule for 7:30, let me register that I would need a ride back, and never mentioned that the person who gives the rides doesn’t come until 8:00. Grrr. And they wonder why I only go there for recalls.

I have no idea why I’m up.
The sound and light show that was predicted kinda fizzled out, for which I’m grateful.
Mona came over around 1300 and stayed for a little over an hour. She’s interested in moving some place out of Arkansas because every “time I turn a corner I meet a memory.”
I’ll ask Chuck for an application for her. She would love my little town of Hurricane.
