EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Sciatica is fine. My foot hurt a lot yesterday. I wore my ankle brace and my sneakers to church. I doubt anyone noticed.
Thanks. I think I’ll just have to change to Linux. I can’t seem to get rid of the predictive text no matter what I try. DISTRACTING!!!
When PW’s plantar fasciitis begins to get too intense, she will wear her sneaks to church.
And if you had to stand while watching the competition yesterday, I can well understand why your foot would hurt.
We took lawn chairs to the stable. I think it’s just the cold making my foot hurt.
Sunday kitteh is amazingly laid back!
Good morning. I hope you had a good night.
I don’t think I’m going to church. It was after 2000 when they dropped me off, and it was almost 2300 before I was able to fall asleep.
I’m exhausted.
The Other Folks didn’t want me to stand up for whatever reason so as irritated as that made me, I decided I wasn’t going to give in to the general atmosphere.
PW did a solo, and FS did a voice-over, and the other acts were pretty good. Mostly it was kids performing, with one family of six doing The Twelve Days of Christmas. THAT was and absolute hoot!!
The night was long and loud and Santa did not make an appearance.
Yep, the cold will seep into your joints like nothing else can.
We had a lively time celebrating Our Lady of Guadalupe, with no disasters. Now we just need to get through the 3rd Sunday of Advent. I need to go to the 11:00 service to make sure some things go smoothly, and then I’ll stay for the 1:00.
If I can get the dead brothers out of bed, we can to the 11:00 in the Avalon, and then they can drive home afterward. I guess I need to pack a lunch, too!
Happy Sunday, Wordle Fans!
My base word seems to help solve a lot of these puzzles. Today’s is no different.

Sounds like you’re in for a long day. Packing a lunch would be a good idea, I think!
Now, I’m going to go take a shower and try to warm up. I hate being cold.
You did great on the Wordle!
Thanks! I mean, it was just sitting there, waiting....

Was your heart in your throat when the first word drew a blank? I always breathe that quiet, “ohno.” ;o]
But you did it!! And got a mackerel tabby into the bargain!
I get those quite a bit... I figure that I have eliminated 5 letters from the mix.... usually a few vowels, which is helpful...
