EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Good morning. Happy Friday Eve!
The warmer weather continues, but we’re supposed to get less rain today. I hope so because the lake in front of the building across the street is starting to attract fish. Or it seems like it, anyway.
We had a seizure scare this morning, but it was only some spit-up. This is the third time she’s done that without going into a seizure so hopefully that’s a good sign. But since she picked 4:30 am to do it I’m a little sleepy.
Two choices (at least) for the fourth word and I picked the right one.

Good morning. It’s Thorsday here, too. My foot hurts.
It’s foggy but not raining right now.
Sorry about your foot. Is that part of the PT?
No, they can’t help. It’s arthritis, and it aches when it’s cold and/or damp and I haven’t been wearing my most comfortable shoes.
What a cutely strange little face!
Good morning. Did you have a good night?
Mo rain, but a little cooler today. It’s supposed to rain all morning, and maybe this afternoon, and of course, for the next five days. I’m tired of that broken record. (I guess that dates me, doesn’t it?)
I need to get out of my jammies and into some street clothes so I can open the blinds and let in some light. What little there is.
Today is pill sorting day, and maybe I’ll make another loaf of bread. Each time I had a some it tasted worse than the last time, and I realized it was from the honey I used. I’ll take what’s left of it over to the clubhouse for someone else to use. It’s local honey and I don’t think I like it at all. It has a strange taste to it and is thinner than most honeys I’ve tried. So I’ll go back to using Walmart honey. Cheap and tasty.
Happy Friday Eve, Wordlers!
I hope your game and day are excellent!
I wasn’t sure I was going to make this before I ran out of words to try. But here it is, warts and all.

If you have rain, fog or snow in your area, and you’re driving anywhere today, watch out for the other guy. Actually, that’s a good idea any time of day or night.
(If you want on or off the Wordle Ping list please let me know!)

Sorry, Ganag. Two days in a row I’ve done this and also had 5/6 both days, so I need to be more careful. Just shows to go you how my brain isn’t working!

I’m sorry your arthritis is flaring up. That stuff is SUCH a nuisance!
OK, now I’m REALLY going to get dressed! It’s getting late!
Ah. I’ve got an arthritis problem in my left thumb’s saddle joint that can make some grasping a little tricky. But for now nothing in my feet.
I’m sorry again for the pain.
Yeah, I need to get dressed in something decent, too.
I remember an exchange from “The Goodbye Girl” where she knocks on the door and asks, “Are you decent?” He answers “Yes.” She comes in to find him in a lotus position completely naked. She says, “I thought you said you were decent.” He replies, “I am decent. I’m also naked.”
I had always wanted to go and visit Alaska... maybe someday...
Glad to hear that it was only a scare, and not full blown...
Good Morning!
A “splendid” four train ride it is to start the day...

(I realized afterward that there was at least one other choice... I am lucky with the 4!)
Unngh. That spot is particularly aggravating. I empathize with anyone who suffers from Arthur Itis and his brother Bruce. Nasty pair to deal with no matter where on the body or when in your life.
Dressed, had the second dose of pills, restocked water in the fridge, and listened to a couple of uplifting talks. I will now sort pills and depending on how my back feels when I’m done with that, I may get the dishes done.
(I seem to not be able to stand for very long, here, before the pain overtakes me. Definitely need a dryer climate, if I’m to do any housework for more than 15 minutes at a time.)
We went there when I was six weeks old, so my memories are not what I would like them to be. We came back when I was five, and I’ve never been able to go back.
After my dad died and I was married, my mother, younger sister, older sister and her husband went back and the older sister stayed for 30+ years. Younger sister married and later and he was stationed at Anchorage.
Excellent!! There were several choices, but I kept picking the wrong ones! I always check the list to see if the word I want to try has been used. I mean, why waste a turn?
So were we, although we would have been even happier if it had been just a *little* later in the morning.
Anyway, originally her spit-up was always followed by a seizure, so it didn’t seem to be related to anything she’d eaten so much as whatever signals were misfiring. But for the last 3 times it’s been her tummy.
Now we have to convince her that, with all this good food she’s getting, she doesn’t need to eat stuff on the ground.
What?
