EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

And suddenly, one runs out of lines...
Good morning, Ganag! Happy Midweek!
Today’s game was slightly frustrating, but it got done!

Rain. Rain ALL day long and gloom for at least the next five days.
Thankfully, the SAD light is coming to be a mighty useful tool!
Mackerel Tabby FTW!
Good Morning!
I felt fortunate to get a ride on the four train today, and to see a bit of SUN peeking through early...

Lives in Norway, according to the poster.
Back from the physical therapist. It’s gloomy here too.
Bend and stretch; reach for the stars.
He probably drives a tour bus near Tromsø taking visitors to see the Northern Lights...
I’m going to go make the bed and then see what mischief I can stay out of. Haha.
It’s 67° out which is oddly out of place for this part of the country at this time of year, but it is what it is.
Since the migraine is still with me, I opted to not go to the luncheon. Pam texted me while I was in the shower, and as much as I looked forward to doing it (at least once while I was here) I decided it might trigger the migraine into lasting longer and being worse and I want to be able to go to church. Seems my life is just a series of trying to choose my battles.

Once in a while, when I was growing up in a colder world climate, we used to see the occasional “Fairy Dancers.” I don’t recall seeing them when we lived in Alaska, but I was a very short person then, and don’t think I got to go out when they were dancing the night away.
I was going to have a nap, but then the phone rang and made me all anxious. Oh, well. I have a meeting tonight, but it will end by 8:00. If I can get through this weekend, maybe I won’t be so jittery.
Sorry you couldn’t make it to the luncheon!
Thanks, but it’s OK about the luncheon. I’m not comfortable around so many people in unfamiliar settings, so missing the odd luncheon or Christmas dinner is perfectly fine with me.
Mona came over about two hours ago and just left.
I was expecting FS to come and try the bread but once again he wriggled out of it. His excuse this time is jury duty tomorrow. By the time I got called for jury duty I was chronically ill and therefore excused.
Anyway, he asked me to pray for him and I asked him to be more specific, so I’ll know how to pray — for or against.
Up here you could get excused from a Jury Pool by reading “The Way Things Ought To Be” by Rush Limbaugh. That might not work there, though.
Nah, I don’t think so. Almost everyone in this complex is a conservative, and most folks in the state seem to have gun “collections.”
Now, if the same book were read in Las Vegas, it would have guaranteed your exclusion from jury duty. But you didn’t hear that from me!
Sometimes you just have to pray knowing God has it handled before you even ask.
And that’s the absolute truth!
I hope you have a good night with restful sleep.
I had another meeting. The good thing about this meeting is that it sorted out some issues that I was anxious about, so maybe I’ll sleep better tonight.
I still owe you the letter with the next episode of the Stewardship Committee Murders. Maybe I’ll have time tomorrow!
Congratulations for the meeting issues being sorted.
I always look forward to the Stewardship Committee Murders. Nothing like a good Whodunnit to lull one into a false sense of security!
