EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

I still have to wonder of companies play around with Seniors’ money issues hoping nobody will notice or follow up.

I’ve decided I no longer have to finish a book just because I started it. If there’s something I don’t know about a fictional character in a fictional situation I’ll probably be OK.
It took me a long time to come to that decision.

One of life’s great conundrums: evil or incompetent?
I just called my mom to make sure she’s okay, since she hadn’t replied to any emails this week. Turns out my brother and his wife are still there (since Thanksgiving), so they’ve been busy. All good!

Good Friday Morn!
Starting the day with creepy, drizzly weather... hoping that it clears up soon...
It wasn’t a great path, but luckily the four train had a place for me today...

I think you’re right because I’m always (it seems) having to verify a payment. And then there’s Walgreen’s. Maybe I’ll be able to focus on that in the not to distant future.
Companies discriminate against your age, in spite of what they say. If the math part of my brain wasn’t compromised to begin with, the companies could probably do it and get away with an extra payment from me several times a year. But that’s not going to happen. I monitor my spending closely, and even that isn’t helpful at times. I have to know where every dime has gone.

I vote for both.
Excellent news! My nephew and his wife are really enjoying life there, for sure. From the photos they’ve posted, the entire complex looks gorgeous.
