EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. I did get back to sleep, thanks. Strange dreams again. But that’s the nature of the beast. I also woke up later on with a sore throat, and it was hard to swallow the pills a while ago, so the symptoms are increasing. I hope it’s a mild relapse this time.
This morning is going to be busier than I want but I’ll just endure it until it’s over. As long as I get Charlie’s letter out to the mailbox by noon, I’ll be OK.
Then I’ll just quit and let the relapse have its way with me.

I have to try and remember to reply to Chuck’s email. His wife had knee surgery, so she’s been forced to quit all her creative stuff.
The regular mail carrier has had knee surgery as well, and she thought she’d be back to work “in a week or two.” That’s been almost two months ago. It’s also why I’ve never opted to have the same surgery.

I just figured out why I hate paydays so much.
I made a payment to the carrier for my renter’s insurance last month, as I have every month, and got an email this morning that said the insurance had been cancelled for non-payment. WHAT??? In TORNADO country???
I pulled up the account and sure enough, a payment had been logged on Nov 7th. Now, I have to wait until after 1000 to call because I won’t be here when they open. (I won’t conduct personal business in public.) (I hate this insurance company anyway, but it was the cheapest in the area.)
Knee replacement is a big thing with a long rehab if everything goes perfectly. If not, unnngh.
Good morning. We have Envirothon this afternoon and choir in the evening. Tom will have to produce a supper or at least reheat last night’s.
I was reading too late last night. I don’t love the book, but I’m fairly close to the end and they haven’t even identified the murder victim, so I have to know what happened! Then I woke up 1:30-ish and couldn’t get back to sleep for over an hour because I was thinking about all the things I need to get done.
I suppose I should do them!
