EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Good Trash Day Morning!
It is not a word that I use very much, and there was a lot of controversy in the past about the proper usage of its root... so I tended to avoid misusing the root... owing to that, I apparently almost blocked this derivative from my mind...

But you didn’t get the Dreaded X/6, so good on ya!
When it comes to Wordle, I try to avoid any word that may be in use primarily in GB, and stick to the American words. The inventor of the game is a Brit, so they probably have many more words to choose from than we do!
The 3-spot that you got on today’s was amazing!
👍🏻
Thanks! It goes back to what I’ve been saying: It’s all in the starter word. If it ever comes up as #1 then I’ll find something else. I also try not to use words that have already been used.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Yeah, I figured you would... ;o]
Vacuuming did not get James and Tom out of bed. Sigh. It’s cleaner, though, and I’ll get in their rooms later. Hairbros, yuck.
Welldarn. That’s disgusting.
Sunny is calm and blue today; topping out at 60F after an overnight low in the mid-30s. Normally would be driving to the office, but some units are on strike & mgmt has encouraged everyone who can to stay remote for the duration.
Who knew people doing post-doctoral science were Union labor?
Part of United Auto Workers, no less; as if THAT makes any sense.
Once I got the four letters, I should’ve gone for more common than rare; it hung on them being rightly ordered.
I guessed this 5-letter word in 4/6 tries.

Tom had a phone interview with “a very sketchy nonprofit,” according to Vlad. Vlad said, “If they steal his organs, I’ll get his Magic cards.”
Good ol’ Vlad! Ever the optimist! LOL!
Let’s hope it’s THE interview that Tom needs.
I hope so. Any job, just any job!
I hope along with you!
We’ve got tornado warnings today and into tonight, but some parts of the forecast cancel out other parts of it, so I don’t know what to believe.
Now’s the time I wish I knew how to get to the shelter.
Was the vacuum not strong enough to pull them from under the covers?
Some vacuums can actually attach the hose to the exhaust. I’ll bet sticking that hose under the covers would have worked. :-D

Did not like this word.
It wasn’t a common word at all and seems to have fallen out of favor for some reason.
But you didn’t get the X/6 so you live to play again tomorrow! Good job!!
Marginal severe T-storms tonight, but we’ll see, as most weather is to the south and east of us.
I hate thunderstorms, anyway.
I didn’t try that hard!
I don’t mind them if I’m somewhere very secure, like my mom’s building.
I learned to hate them when I spent nine months in SD, as a young bride. Tornado weather brings its own ferocity to sound and light shows, and the bedroom I used had linoleum on the floor. Thunder would hit hard enough for the bed to move. That did it for me.
No thanks, under any circumstances.
