EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Hey! Yes, it was tricky! I didn’t like it, for sure!
I hate the wind!
It needed a new power cord, and that was backordered for (math, math) three months. It seems longer.
Well (cusswords!)
I’m sorry it took so long. Three months is a long time to wait for a necessity.
One of my choir members has died. She was over 80, and her decline with cancer was rapid, ending with her death at home this evening. Asuncion wants theological songs for the funeral, and Norma wants happy songs. We will sort it out.
We had the Dyson for backup, but it’s not the same. Bros’ hair kept breaking the belt.
It was a tricky one...
This time of year brings a lot of big temperature swings here in Central Texas... need to check the weather most days before getting dressed for the day...
I’m so sorry for the loss of your friend. She’s free, now. And with the Savior.
And yes, you will sort out the funeral songs.
My goodness that cat is gorgeous!
Good morning. Did you have a good night?
Did you get to play with the Riccar?
My sleep was disrupted for some reason. But I’m here!
Not bad, thanks. I haven’t used the Riccar yet, but I plan to take it upstairs to sweep this morning, maybe about 10 minutes after I tell the Wasted Youth to get up. Bwahahahaha!
It’s cold here this morning. I have Weight Watchers, where I don’t want to know after this week, and then a phone call with a nurse in aid of our application for long-term care insurance, and then Kathleen has a practice for the horse show she’ll be in on the 10th.
DP took Kathleen to Cub Scouts last night, because I had a meeting regarding the church committee situation I’ve been telling you about. I’ll write you the latest installment in the next day or two, if I can. I feel like this could be a novel, if there would just be a murder ...
w00t!
Thanks, but I’ll pass. ;)
Good morning. Happy Twosday!
We are back to cold again. 30 fs to start the day. But at least it’s not raining. That’s for tomorrow.
I’m not sure I knew today’s Wordle word was a word. I guess I’m fortunate to have a fiver.

Good morning. It’s Trash Day here, and it’s cold. I don’t know what we expect tomorrow; it will land on us when it does.
Howdy, Undead Wordlers!
I hope your Tuesday is a good day.
Here’s my effort:

Yeah, much better than yesterday. ;o]
So. Did you rouse the yutes with a stupendous rendition of “Riccar At Work?”
Wish I’da been a fly on a wall if you had done that!
It’s not “cold” here, but we’re due some severe weather, including “possible tornadoes.” Am I #3 yet, so I can start packing? 📦
I hope Kathleen does well in her practice for the horse show.
Good job on your Fiver!
Yes, it’s definitely a word. It was a word before Wordle got hold of it. It’s just not used much any more.
It’s trash day here, too, if they haven’t come yet. But it’s still trash day even if they have. The new company has some pretty quiet trucks. I used to hear them as they drove in and lifted the dumpster, but I don’t hear them any more.
