EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

I’m so sorry to hear that. Dehydration and UTIs are common in elderly people with dementia.
Yup. not her first rodeo.
Ohno, Nully!
I am so sorry! I will keep her in my prayers. Hang tough.
Yes, I know what you mean about being retired and not really having too much distinctions between the 7 days of the week.... but I figure for those still working, today is an important day for recovery....
I hope it will get cleared up quickly.
I’ve been back from church for a while now, and the excuses on the way home were neverending. I got sidetracked and then forgot who I rode with when FS asked me this afternoon, as we were getting ready to go home, so I think he thought I was being ugly.
I saw James in the hall when I was coming in. He was leaving, as his ward meets before ours does. He didn’t recognize me at first!
At least you made it home! We’ve been back and forth and back and forth. We had a guest Spanish-speaking priest today, and he got there late, which we expected because he was coming from another church, so we had long songs before Mass and lots of announcements. Then he gave a long sermon, and then we had a long prayer meeting after Mass, and it was after 3:30 when we got home, and Frank and Vlad had to be there at 4:30, and then James picked up Vlad when James got off work, and I just picked up Frank.
And Jake just came in.
Ai yi yi! I tried humming along with it. Futile.
Some people should be actuaries instead of composers, but you can’t tell them. The couple chose the song for the message, though, and although it’s not your typical wedding theme, being disciples of Jesus is good for your marriage in all kinds of ways. We went with the same theme on some other songs.
They’re keeping her overnight, she’ll be transferred to a rehab facility for strength and balance/gait issues. Then home?
Oy. I hope it works out okay for all of you. Rehab is tough for dementia patients, though.
Strength and balance is what my physical therapist is doing with me, until the end of the year when our deductible restarts!
Yes, I made it home. PW was all sweetness and light during services and on the way home.
They both had the entirety of last week off, and never bothered to tell me or to do something with me.
I’m too old for this stuff! LOL!
It’s Monday so I’m up and at ‘em. I’ll be having a nap for sure today!
Good morning Epople!
Yep another Monday. Have they no respect for a Monday brain?
Here’s today’s painful try.

Good morning. Happy Monday!
45 fs this morning. I guess there’s not going to be much consistency in the weather this year. We had a soaking rain starting yesterday afternoon and going well into the night.
At least Wordle went OK this morning. Now, back to owrk.

Good morning.
I hope you slept well and are rested from your busy day, yesterday. I was almost worn out when I finished reading about it.
I did take a nap but the dreams were horrible, so I’m glad I’m not sleeping any longer. Tonight may be a different story, however.
How is your sorting going? Have you managed to find more things to donate so the Advent Kitteh can come?
Good jobs on the Triplets, guys!
The solution was trying to evade me, and did so quite handily.
