EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Congratulations on the wedding performance! That always helps to spread the word.
I don’t think it was so much me going to the temple, as I would have declined had they asked. I think it was more that I’m not important enough to even inform. And he sent me a text at 0700, concerning a question I had asked him yesterday, which means they were already on the road. So it’s not that they didn’t have the opportunity to let me know.
Other little things have been happening that by themselves mean nothing. Added up, they speak volumes. I wish whatever I had to do would be done so I could leave.
I got an email from Chuck on Thursday morning and he said I’m #6 on the list, so I’ve moved up a notch. Slowly but surely.
Placido Domingo, kitteh FRiends! This kitten lives in Izmir (Smyrna), Turkey.
That’s a beautiful Turkish kitteh, for sure.
Good morning. I hope you slept well.
I dreamed I was trying to grab a hugh barn-type door from being slammed shut and woke up to find I had a death grip on a nightstand shelf. Strange. I could have pulled it a little harder and been bonked by the lamp.
Good Sunday morning, Wordlers of all ages!
Today’s effort was a little harder than yesterday’s, but that just means my brems had to do a little more complicated dance.

Here’s hoping you have a great day!
(Let me know if you want on or off the Wordle Ping list!)
Ping to #2644!
(I hate when I do that!)
Wow, weird! I don’t remember what I dreamed. I guess that’s good. I went to bed before 9:00 and made Frank and Kathleen go, as well.
It’s raining here. The cats are pouting. I’m getting out my Advent candles, for which we waited in line yesterday, and trying to feel chipper.
No rain here for today but overcast and dismal is the forecast.
I need to get my Nativities out, but before I can put them up, I need to remove things, like photos. The little half-size bookcases I bought, which FS was supposed to assemble, are still in their boxes.
He was also going to make me a cover for the top of the stove so I have more “counter” space, but that hasn’t happened. I’m not asking him for anything else. I’ve been here 13 months and feel no closer to him than the day I got here.
Anyway. This is Sunday, and I have a ride, though I really don’t feel up to it. I’ll see how I feel when I get out of the shower. My big fear at the moment is a “minor” relapse, and if I don’t give in to it, it will become another major one.
Oh, and I think I may have been talking in my sleep again, but with no one to tell me, I can only suppose. It “feels” like I did, but it’s been a long LONG time since I did that, and it’s hard to recall how it felt. I’ll just go ahead and think I did it!
13 months, unnngh. It will be easier to move the bookcases if they’re still in their boxes, at last. Maybe, at least, he’ll cough up the working car you paid for all that time ago.
If you had a cat, it could tell you that you talk in your sleep, but it might be lying ;-). Shannon is telling me that she hasn’t had her pill this morning, but she did.

Hoping that everyone can recover today from the long weekend and get ready for the week ahead!
Yes. That. It will be sold, and the money will go towards one of my own choosing in Hurricane. And I know just where to start looking.
Like I said, there are no mistakes, only lessons, and this lesson, (or lessons) (whatever it is/they are) seem(s) to be for whoever needs it, and not necessarily me. So I’ll just endure. It may be in time for my birthday, or shortly after, which is the perfect time in Utah!
Shannon has been known to tell tales. But it would be nice to know. As long as I don’t start yelling. But wait. Who would hear me?
Excellent! Much better than my own efforts!
Good job, Zz!
I had a lot of eliminated letters too, but they weren’t in the right sequence to be much help.
Can I look over your should tomorrow and see which letters you use? Uh. Nevermind!
Since I’m retired, every day is pretty much like the last one with distinctions for Pill Sorting Day, or Laundry Day, or Write to Charlie Day, or Sunday, but I still have an alarm because of the supplement pill schedule. I try to take them every four hours because I’m hypoglycemic, and I don’t like to change it around.
True, all that.
Thanksβ¦
Sheer luck.
I think we all make our scores in this game by luck. Sometimes, it’s the luck of the starting word. Other times, it’s a lucky guess.
I’m glad you’ve joined us!
