EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

It is a fun game, and last night, as usual, they played their “obscene” version where the faint of heart need not play. No four-letter words but lots of innuendo. And some of it hilarious. My mind doesn’t work that way, so my answers were always dull.
What a cute lop-sided face!
Good morning. I hope you had a good night.
I wasn’t given anything to take home, but it’s just as well. Until I sat down to eat (in the corner) I realized I hadn’t had a meal all day. I just subsisted off of cookies. They were excellent! A lot of work, but worth it.
I never salted the food I cooked or baked. I figured it’s easier to put it in/on than to take it out, so I put salt and pepper shakers on the table.
It’s good that the meal you had catered wasn’t a disaster, ArGee. Sometimes, the disappointment is just too much.

Today, not as good!
The first job I had out of college my boss was a salt-a-holic. He would start shaking vast amounts of salt onto his food before the first taste.
I tried not to stare.
Excellent!
Would you like to be added to the ping list? It’s daily, unlike the Undead Ping list whick takes months to come around. Or I could add you to both.

G/M. Kiss. Nice to meet you.
I have been using the same starter word since the last time I got a 1/6. I expect one day that will be the word, then I’ll start using a different one.
It poured down rain all day yesterday, but today is just going to be bleak and dismally overcast.
I wasn’t given anything to take home, but it’s just as well. Until I sat down to eat the turkey dinner, I just munched on cookies all day, because that’s what I was doing all day.
The pain kept me awake way past bedtime and then woke me up a couple of times. Still, my cook’s heart was pleased and will overlook the pain. But I WILL get a kitchen stool even if it’s just a barstool.
I like to switch it up every day.
“I like to switch it up every day.”
An artistic rather than scientific approach.
Good Friday morning Wordler Epople!
Seems every time I get a Triplet, (or even a Double) I take a monstrous incremental slide until I either get 6/6 or X/6.
This wasn’t that hard, but I think I have pineapple cookie crumbs for a brain.

Ironically, math teacher.
Math can be very artistic. Or, at least, mathematicians can.
IIRC, our method of writing music was created by Pythagoras.
G’orning, y’all!
Thank you for beautimous kitteh!
I get very thirsty when I eat outside food, too. Maybe a lot of Americans have killed off a few thousand taste buds from overuse or something.
Wow—30 people! That must have been a blast.
What kind of cookies did you make?
I made frosted pineapple cookies! I’ve had the recipe longer than I’ve had my kids, so....
;o]
I will admit that frosted pineapple cookies is not a recipe I’ve ever sampled.
