EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Cajun seasoning is not my favorite, but I do like beans.
Cajun seasoning isn’t mine, either, so I didn’t put in as much as the recipe called for. The taste of soup I had was very good! Now I’ll have to wait for him to come over to see if he’ll actually take it home. What he does with it after that remains to be seen. He’s not the only one who lives there. It may be vetoed before it thaws.
*sigh*
Yeah, I know. But it’s all being “noted” by Someone, so I’m not going to worry about it.
All we can do is plug along.
Exactly so.
I try not to make waves, but it seems someone on the other end of the pool is making them for me!
An Agitator. They exist, and they’re hard to deal with.
Very, very true! But I’ll just keep swimming along.
Perfect floof for a Friday!
Good morning. I hope you slept well.
I didn’t want to get up but it was just one of those things. (Hey! Someone should write a song about that!)
Outside of a couple of letters, my day is planned to do nothing. I’m having symptoms again, and I’m trying to head off a mini-relapse at the pass. Some days, it just doesn’t pay to chew through the straps, as the late Tiamat would say.
I just remembered that PW is going to Utah in a couple of weeks for her dad’s birthday. :o])
I hope everyone enjoys PW’s trip away. *snicker*
Not bad. Jake tried to literally shove me out of bed at 4:45, but I knew the coffee wouldn’t be ready until 5:10, so I hung on. What a turkey!
We’re going to the wastewater treatment plant this morning.
Good morning, Wordlers!
Happy Friday, and all that get-ready-for-the-weekend stuff!
Here’s today’s effort, but it sure didn’t look like much to begin with. I don’t know what’s worse, not have any of the letters or having them in all the wrong places.

I might see my FS, a couple of times while she’s gone, but I don’t think PW is going to be gone over the weekend. I’ll have to check. — Nope. Tuesday to Saturday.
She’s using the last of my shuttle credits. But I was glad to do it for her. I really do want to like her, but she makes it difficult. We’re supposed to love everyone as Jesus loves us, but He’s Perfect and I’m really struggling, here.
Well, maybe I’ll see my FS a couple of days for supper, although he’s good at fixing his own meals. Still, it’s something to think about.
I’m glad the shuttle credits are being used. Maybe your son will enjoy a break from some of his stress, at least.
I don’t think he even knows the origin of his stress. And there isn’t much I can do to help him find it. He got a raw deal this time around (every time around, actually) and he’s “too old” to make any changes. So all I can do is just be here for as long as I can be here.
Choices have consequences, and the sunk-cost fallacy is a real thing. Oh, well. Entropy.
Good morning. Happy Friday!
It’s cold again, so things are back to normal.
And I’m still getting fours.

Exactly all of the above.
Done with the shower. I was warm!
It’s 45° out, and 74° in, and I’d be cold and dressed in layers, regardless! It’s also going to be overcast the next five days. Again.
Happy Friday.
Good job on the Foursie!
It took me a couple of weeks to get my compass bearings after I moved in here because of the constant overcast. I know which way I’m facing, now, because the glaring sun comes in my living room window with a vengeance. When it does shine.
When given a choice, I will pick a Vanilla about 7-8 times out of 10...
