EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Snugglin’ wif da Mom on a Sunday morning! Squeeful!
Good morning. I hope you slept well.
Another endless night for me. More texting. I guess the job wasn’t finished yesterday.
But I’ll be staying home today, and watching church in this very spot. Not as rewarding, but still....
I wish you could come to church here with my wonderful Spanish ladies. I went to bed about 7:30. It was nice. Jake turned up at some point, like almost every night. He gets cold, I guess.
Good morning, Ganag!
I seem to be stuck on Foursies. Right now, there are 75 of them to my credit, but I hope it’s not a Thing.

I hope you all have a good Sabbath Day.
That would be nice. I got up and made a lengthy journal entry just after I went to bed and read for a while.
I was really looking forward to a good solid night’s sleep, and then the texting began. FS telling me he loved me. Every time I’m awakened like that, it takes 90-120+ minutes to get back to sleep.
I was hoping to go today with a church friend, but... I think recent events are designed to isolate me. Further.
You know my opinion on people who insist on texting in what they know are your sleeping hours.
I need to run the vacuum, but Shannon, queen of the house, is napping in my chair in the living room. Maybe I’ll do my physical therapy exercises instead.
Good Sunday Morning!
I feel lucky to have stumbled in to a “great” one today...

If it is important, I don’t mind being texted in the middle of the night. But if it’s something that can wait until morning, then please, wait until morning.
If I could get to Searcy, I could get a kitteh, and I’m just about ready to do that. I would have to pay for gas for Mona to take me, but even that is doable and would be worth it to have a queen of the house. Or king.
I mean, Mona is my only company, anyway, so why not get that kitteh?
WOW!!! Look at you, Zz!! Great job!
Excellent.
Absent a hunch, I could have fallen through the bottom...
😟
When I saw how the letters were lining up on my own grid, I thought pretty much the same thing. But Sundays are tricky.
How far is Searcy? $10-$15 should be more than reasonable for gas. (I would get a girl cat.)
I think Searcy is no more than 30 miles, so yeah. She’s got a Toyota, and you know how they are for mileage.
I just want an older cat, and I don’t care about the sex of it, since they’re all neutered before they’re adopted, anyway.
Hello All and a blessed Lord’s Day!
I’m sorry you were awakened by texts, ‘Face. I put mine on “Do Not Disturb.” That way, I read them when I’m awake.
I started doing that when I was working in California in 2016 and east coast family and friends of mine thought nothing of texting me at 7:30 or 8:00 a.m. their time, which was 4:30 or 5:00 a.m. my time. And now, I’ve left it like that. 😊
I came very close to crashing this one. “Phew!” indeed.

Yes! Get the kitteh! 😻
It’s interesting how much they “call the shots” in our homes. They truly are family members.
Does she run and hide when the vacuum comes out like my meezer does?
Thanks! Since I’m a mom with kids away from home, (sorta) I’ve just felt better knowing that I’m available if they need me. Yesterday was an exception, but it will pass, and life will go on.
But Good Job on your Wordle!! You didn’t crash it, so it’s OK! You live to fight another day! YAY!
The guy who devised the game is British, so....
I’ll just wait to see when Mona can take me. Although at the moment, I’m in hot water with my DiL. So I need to wait and see which way the wind is going to blow.
OKden.
