EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. Good morning. I hope you had a good rest last night.
I’m going to be brave and go to Walmart with the Other Folks this morning but only to return some things I ordered. “They” make it “easy” thinking everyone uses their phones for everything, but it’s just one or two more step that I have to make to take care of something that was a lot easier before they made it “easy.” Or something.
When I get home, I’ll see how far I can get on my movie list, trying to get it done and squared away. At least that will be in order before the next Big Event.

We’ve had frost several mornings this last week, but for the next week, it’s going to be rain and gloom.
I stay away from the Other Folks when I go to Walmart. I just don’t care to listen to the motormouth behind the steering wheel of the car or the handle on the shopping cart. When FS was a short person, he was a motor mouth, but he was a HAPPY motor mouth and it was fun to hear him jabber.
These days, not so much. He can’t get a word in edgewise and PW takes it as an insult of she’s interrupted. So I mind my own business, just glad for the ride and a couple of minutes with my son.

I’m back from several alarums and excurions. It warmed up while I was out. I got some tulle and fake flowers at Hobby Lobby to finish the La Llorona costume. And some safety pins, so I don’t have to sew tulle.
You’ll have to show me the costume when you get it together!
Something fun to take my mind off the doldrums.
Now, I’m going to take some pills and try to decide what I want to eat.

We went for a walk in the woods. It was very nice. Frank likes to talk during walks, which can get old.
I get it about Frank. FS used to do that, but he was such a happy kid and so full of curiosity and finding funny stuff in the things around us that I really didn’t mind his jabbering.
Today was different. It got old.
