EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

I love early morning everything!
How are you feeling after being poked and stretched?
What a cute little bebby-cat!
Good morning!
I saw the moon this morning too. And the sunrise was pretty this morning. The days are definitely shortening.
I’m still in a five-warp.

But you did it!! YAY!!
It’s supposed to be mostly cloudy for the next few days. I’m not looking forward to it.
Feeling rather unnngh, but that’s normal. I’m hoping for a nap later.
The children are having a stupid fuss about something.
Kathleen: What did you do with my headphones?
James: The same thing you did with my food that you stole!
Entropy is high. I repeat, entropy is high.
Sure is.
I think Tom and Sally had that same conversation when I was visiting once. Tom: I wanted the one with avocado! Sally: I thought Dad ordered it for me! Tom: Give me back my food!
Yeah, something along the same lines. The kids need new scripts.
It turned into a discussion of how you might get something back after someone else has eaten it, and Vlad and I laughed until we cried while the other two said, “What? What’s so funny?!”
Oh, that’s funny! I can see it all now!

Luck today. Not quite sheer luck but not much skill.
The neighbors decided to greet the morning with a rousing lot of gun fire. Not my preferred way to wake.
Fox after the chickens. Also not my preferred way to start the day. Monsieur Renard has departed this plain of existence but I am sure the family is still around hungering for chicken.
Under primitive conditions, (and one really never knows when that will happen,) it may be necessary to prepare food for an infant by thoroughly chewing it and then transferring the pre-masticated food into the infant's mouth in small amounts.
Yes, just like a baby bird.
This might seem an unpleasant task, but it is better than digging a grave, and the infant will likely be appreciative.

The reader is cautioned to not ask the writer about elephants and beavers.
Quite true. However, the success of that procedure with a set of headphones seems dubious at best. Better to wait for them to exit the other end, if you must.
... or civet cats.
Better late than never.... as they say...
Thought that I could copy and paste my five spot from today, but makeshift WiFi is not cooperating....
Hope that everyone is doing well!
I wasn’t planning to eat one of those.
Here it is..

Excellent on the triple!
Mesdame Renard will likely take up the slack.
Gunfire isn’t the way to wake up, for sure. I’ve done it.
I would suggest one bite at a time, Bob.
But you got there, spotty WiFi or not! Good job!
