The misinformation and lies that are peddled to the public on climate change dwarf the misinformation on COVID

Climate change pushers are infecting the U.S. with a pandemic of the indoctrinated.

The misinformation and intentional lies on climate change/global warming dwarfs the misinformation the government fed us on COVID and is an existential threat to our survival as a great country. Essentially, climate change pushers are infecting the U.S. with a pandemic of the indoctrinated.

The Earth is not rapidly warming. We have had a one to two degree rise in 160 years after a little ice age ended in 1860. That is cyclical and normal and certainly has no relationship to an exponential rise in fossil fuel consumption.

Sea levels are not rising rapidly. Sea levels have risen and fallen throughout history and a nine-inch rise in over 100 years in seas that average over 12,000 feet deep is essentially immeasurable and certainly cannot be attributed to organic fuel combustion engines.

Floods and droughts are not worse than ever. The Earth is covered by deserts and seas which are there because of big floods and long droughts.

Climate change is not killing thousands of species each year. Extinctions have always occurred, and it appears fewer than two species per year have gone extinct the last 500 years and those certainly can’t be attributed to humans, CO2, or fossil fuels.

Extinctions have been a natural part of our planet's evolutionary history. More than 99% of the four billion species that have evolved on Earth are now gone. At least 900 species have gone extinct in the last five centuries.

One of the most egregious examples of pure lies was that polar bears were dying because of climate change. They are thriving today and somehow that story is not printed because it doesn’t scare the public into submission.

a nine-inch rise in over 100 years in seas

Has that actually happened? I'm not sure I care too much, but I'm not sure this sort of fear as really been realized.

I don't think that the 9-inch sea level rise is correct:

I often see pictures of beachfront property from 100 years ago compared to today. There is no noticeable difference whatsoever. I think we would notice a nine inch rise in sea levels at the beachfronts by comparing those photographs. Certainly we would have seen the difference at Miami Beach (pictured below) but we just keep building and building on that strip of beach because we know it's going to be around for quite a while.

Would elites really be snapping up oceanfront properties if they thought they would be soon under water due to "global warming"? Even they know it's all a big scam to swindle working class people out of more tax dollars.

They don't look too worried about rising sea levels on Miami Beach.

The Obamas certainly don't seem to worried about sea level rise.

Pretty sloppy writing. Jack Hellner is obviously no more a scientist than Seth Borenstein or the rest of the alarmists. It is fine to poo-poo fake talking points but it is a lot better to offer actual relevant facts and empirical findings. Not that any of it will dissuade the true believers, but it is good to be grounded in reality.

No, the “nine inch sea level rise in over 100 years” is not correct. I have Never seen that number in any of the literature. He just pulled it out of his hat. The fact is, the absolute sea level is rising about 2 mm per year. It is not accelerating, it has been steady since measurements began. It has little to do with global warming, although that contributes to a microscopic degree. The stories about coastal flooding, such as Miami being periodically washed over at high tide etc are cherry picked events like king tides and which btw are made worse by land subsidence— Miami beach is a mangrove swamp filled with landfill by real estate developers, and yes it is slowly sinking as it settles.

MtnClimber; Thanks for posting! All this Depends on your time scale! Climate Doomers only want to look at a tiny slice of time. And this is your point regarding the subordination of science to current politics!

The long view; There is climate change and there are fluctuations in sea level, the questions is how much, why and what can be attributed to human activity. I was taught in school that Glacial periods were regular Geolocial events, and that we were in a warm period between ice ages and sooner or later it would get cold again. (1950-1960s). Twelve or thirteen thousand years ago with ice covering Canada and northern Europe. I grew up living on a Terminal moraine at the situated at the southern end of Lake Michigan so something caused that melting and it wasn't industrial pollution. (They will return at some point!)

There are places that were dry land that now underwater...Doggerland in the the saddle between England and France that is now the English Channel, The Mediterranean sea was a lake , the Black Sea, a low land bridge between India and Ceylon. At some point the Glaciers broke up, and sea levels rose (most recently) by something like 90 meters inundating any ancient seacoast human settlement.

The primary driver of weather is the amount of sun. Here is something that discusses one of the longest solar cycles and the periodic fluctuation in the amount of sunlight we recieve:

Except CoVID ‘jabs’ will kill you, and ‘climate change’ won’t. That’s an important distinction.
